Well in the 1st test match India defeated Australia in every department by batting, bowling and even in fielding. It is a great combination of young and senior players and it is making India the best team for the 2011 world cup trophy. We can predict more but if we see the present situation India is far away from other cricketing nations. for this reason India is the best team presently. But there are still some areas where Indian players have to put an eye...

Its obvious India is the best. But I am not saying that Aussies are the worst. They unfortunately loosed the game but they are the born fighters. They always fight till the end. This can also be seen in today's match. They made it very difficult for the home team to win till the last ball. But thanks to Laxman and young Ishant who made it happen. Now coming to your question my answer is definitely yes .India is best in all departments. But yeah as far as the temperament and fighting spirit is concerned Aussies are the best

Australia also fought well today, If there was not VVS Laxman and Ishanth Sharma partnership, then India would have lost the match. Yes. Team India is performing well day by day but I am not sure that still it has ability to will the 2011 world cup. India needs to continue this form and should win the 2nd test at bangalore as well

I think the only issue for India to concern is its fielding and a little bit of bowling and if India is able to get rid of this then he will the best than all.

Dear friend, India is certainly a very good team and also I do not feel to underestimate Australian team. They are also very good team. It depends how consistent each team keeps in winning. This could change accordingly with other related aspects like the form of players, health and mental conditions of each players in each team.

Yes they both are best in their own respect. And according to various situations it is quite difficult to say..but India especially in test matches has alredy been showing its class. So in this format India is the king.

Test is entirely different from the 2011 WC you are talking about. You cant count the Aussies out.No arguments that India are one of the favourites to win the 2011 WC but there are the Aussies , the English , the South Africans & the wayward Pakistanis.Anyone of these teams can win the WC.No doubt India are one of the best now alongwith Australia.

Sorry friend i told that India is one of the best favorites for WC 2011. But if you see the present situation then India is at its best and of course Australia is also great on its own respective.

Of course there is no doubt in that after today's "triumphatic" win over Australia. Now it's crystal clear that India is better than Australia. What a brilliant game played by the Indian's especially Laxman and Ishant at the middle.....Even after he is having injury he played for India's win desperately.

obviously all praise for Laxman . He is the man of honor and he showed that he is the best player out of test arena. He showed that there is no one like him who can play such good against Australia.

Certainly Australia as far as ODI is concerned. They rank 1 in ICC world ranking in ODIs. Remember they are the defending world champion. As long as no other team go on to win the next world cup They will remain World Champion. But now the Time has changeg. India disposed OZ and SA from numero uno position in Test Cricket.India have been holding this position for last one year or so.After the famous win at Mohali it got tougher for other teams to beat India in the race. Now India has to carry forward this form in ODIs and next year's WC which is scheduled to held in subcontinent and establish their dominance in ODIs

Of course India are a great teams an din present India team is on top in test ranking. And today match was very interesting. Because India gets thrilling win only by one wicket. And I think all credit was go to very very special Laxman and Ishant. Because both have make partnership of 80 rune for 9th wickets. Because at the one moment the match was slip from the Indian side when India was loosing 8 wickets on 136 runs. Then Ishant comes on the crease and everyone hope for the miracle. And now this miracle comes from in the way of Ishant and Laxman. So now all credit is goes to these two players. And Laxman again proves that what everybody call him very very special. Really it was a very special innings from laxman against Australia. And now the time of celebration. Because India gets this thrilling win by one wicket. So I think India again proved their success in test match.

India no doubt has emerged from the shadows of the likes of Australia and Soutafrica...they are now dominating under the able leadership of Dhoni..Australia on the other hand have been dominating test match arena for a decade and up their with the best and deserved to win this match (not taking any credits from the Indians)...however what I feel is some spark is missing from the invincible Australians which had in their ranks the likes of Warne, Mcgrath, Gillespie, Waughs and so on (not forgetting others I might have missed...) and may be some luck..

Well India Has just won a match and its a surprise that the tailenders did the trick this time :D. Indian batting line-up is full of surprises as you never know which match they will loose after come so close :d. It does happen many a times be it test or a one-dayer. Definitely India Is the only team who poses as a threat to Australia in test test and one-dayers both. Australians themselves say that india is the only potential team who can win over them. India has the class in Test like V.V.S lakshman who comes just once in 4-6 months without any practice to play test matches and performs well, while other players are consistently playing series after series from one-dayers to test but still fail :D. When it comes to test it is the best format of cricket one can experience and india has a far greater potential compared to those other teams of the world. They are one of the best definitely. But how are you comparing test and one-dayers :D ? The team and format for world-cup is far different from the test matches. Well If india maintains the form in one-dayers then definitely india is the top-contender for world-cup other than Australia.
