Hello, There are all sorts of crime that has been committed in this world. There are political crimes, there are religious crimes. Incidents of violence, terrorism, rape and murder take place every other day, and we read about it all in the newspaper. I wonder why some people show violence and hate all the time. People do betray each other for money. Lovers betray each other for vague reasons. People kill each other over petty causes. People steal from others even when they don't have to. In my opinion murder is the gravest crime in the world. I couldn't really figure out how one man can kill another so easily. What is, in your opinion, the gravest crime in the world and why?

I find especially despicable, crimes committed by priests who pass themselves as spiritual leaders and then molest innocent children. Very hard to stomach! But I long for the day when criminals of all kinds will not exist anymore.

There is no way that I would deny the fact that murder is a grave crime. However, I think that abusing a child is a far worse crime than murder. The reason that I feel this way is that children are the innocent people of this world and when a child is abused, they are losing their innocence. If a child wasn't an intrinsically innocent person, then I don't think that I would feel like this is the worst crime in the world.

Rape and heinous torture of children, to me, has to be the worst crime of all. There are so many crimes committed against adults but children are the most innocent of victims. You cannot try to explain anything bad happening to young children as "karma" because they aren't old enough to have even evil thoughts, let alone do anything that would justify any kind of extreme punishment. I wish that anyone who has ever committed a crime against a child would have the exact same thing(s) happen to them as their punishment, all the while they are locked up for life without any chance of being set free.

Hi Biswa, Good to see that you are posting good and interesting discussions. I wished you were doing this when I had joined because I was fresh and had many ideas... I would have loved mylot more than I do today. I feel that RAPE is the worst crime committed in the present world. This is not something new and has been there since the existence of mankind on the planet but still I consider it to be the gravest crime. When they do a murder, burglary or other things, the psychological effect of the crime is not that lasting as in case of rape. Life moves on and chances of recovering after a burglary etc are higher and easy these days. But the impact of being raped is something that stays in the mind for long and in many cases life long. The victim is unable to lead a normal life again.

Murder is the gravest, most unforgivable crime on this Earth; it's not simply killing someone, but one is also stealing another person's life. I say this out of experience; when I was seven years old, I witnessed a murder up the street from where I lived, while I was on my way to a friend's house. It hasn't gotten any better; it still haunts me, but it's the concept of taking someone's life away from them that bothers me the most, not how they did it or why.

dear bhai, GREED- that's the worst crime that i consider. Why? Being greedy means, wanting more (power, money, fame and everything) When a person's mind is corrupt with greediness,do you think he/she wants to share anything? Even with his/her family,he/she can't even trust them. The devil was so greed that he wants to be powerful than GOD. That's how evil things work. I guess you're sick of chatting that's why you started few discussion in a row my dear brother

According to me - uncontrollable desire (power, money, love...), inferiority complex, and fear - all are on par and gravest crimes. If a person has been too self indulgent, then there will be this inability to control desire. It manifests as selfishness, and other crimes. As to inferiority complex - it makes the person jealous and resort to wrong sort of behavior which makes others miserable. And fear makes the person resort to pre-emptive methods - offense is the best defense kind. Slights are heard, where none are intended. :( Things simply sour. :(

The gravest crime in the world, in my opinion, is INCESTUOUS RAPE! I believe it's equivalent to being murdered. I can't just understand how a grandfather would touch his own flesh and blood or an Uncle doing the same thing to his niece. If i were the victim of this heinous crime, I don't think I can live anymore. I would rather die. Die from embarrassment of being molested by my own flesh and blood, and for having taken away what I considered the most precious thing I could offer my husband. The trauma this crime could bring to a child is too unbearable it couldn't give the child a normal life anymore.
