Verify this email address?

What? this was my reaction when i read an email from yahoo just a minute ago saying "you've just added a new email address from your yahoo account or initiated verification of an existing email address. To verify that you own this email address, simply click on the link below". Why should i, when i didn't request it. It might be a fake email but it was from yahoo. hmmmmmm i think someone is trying to hack my account but sorry you failed. I am not clicking any link from that email. What do you think mylotters? Is it a fake email from yahoo? have you experienced something like this.
