Hi All, I'm one the oldest members here at mylot, and it has been a while I signed in and started a discussion. But today I was checking my yahoo messages and well wow! I saw 900 messages from Mylot (discussionsatmylotdotcom)!!! It was a Mylot notification stating one of the discussions I had responded to has been deleted. I really like Mylot but 900 mails??? Has anyone else gotten such emails? You may wanna see what I got: From: myLot discussionsatmylotdotcom Subject: Notification from myLot To: leajohnnydatyahoocom Date: Tuesday, September 21, 2010, 11:48 AM This is a notification from myLot. Your comment has been deleted because the question it was under was deleted. Original Question Title: I earned $104 in 3 days! Thank you for using myLot!

As MysDianaIT has said, this is a fairly recent introduction and is intended to be informative. They are not spam (because the agreement between you and MyLot is that you accept certain mails from MyLot). You can change your Notification settings here: http://www.mylot.com/nr/editNotifications.aspx but I fear there is no option to turn off the deletion notifications. I suggest that you do as follows. Set up a filter in Yahoo! Mail to deal with any message with the subject "Notification from MyLot". You can either tell Yahoo to send them to a folder of their own or you can set it to simply delete them as they arrive.

You will, of course, get fewer deletion notifications if you refrain from responding to discussions which are clearly against the Guidelines and so will be deleted!

After the last upgrade the notifications were introduced. They were a suggestion by users when we were asked by admin what improvements we would like to see here. They are a great help so that we can know where our posts are deleted and learn where not to post. I don't consider them as spam but as extremely informative.

Right as usual, Di! But matbe if the same thing was psoted a lot of times, thereĀ“s a problem with the computer or the server. I am working with my old computer while I repair the new one and it does the weirdest things! Hug!

...Hi there leanette, Welcome back. Yes I have gotten such messages, they do inform you althought I don't like receiving them as it means something has been deleted. But 900 emails means something drastically malfunctioned as I am sure you have figured out by now. That's a shock, I do remember getting the same password change notification six times which was a shock, but 900 times. Wow. Looks like others have given you great information on how to deal with the situation. Maybe you better stay around from now on. "o) Take care.
