i am not really concerned of having a passport but now i see the need of having it. my husband is bound for UK and he wants me to have my passport too so that everytime he wants me to be with him there i can readily be with him that soon. i am planning to file for it this month and i wish it's just that quick. our city hall has it's local kiosk already and they say that i can have it the soonest possible time. do you have a passport already?when did you acquire it?

Yes i had my passport since i am 19 yrs old. I use it when i traveled to Singapore and visit my mom. Passport is very important when doing some legal transactions too. You can easily deal things using your passport as primary identification. You need two valid ID's when you apply for passport,if you lived here in the Philippines.

Yes, it is really important to have a passport nowadays. Aside from using it when you travel out of the country, the passport is considered as an identification. It is accepted to prove your identity. It is really necessary now.

that's right and that's the only way to identify one's self aside from the biometrics in some other countries. i am keeping myself safe from scammers especially when you go to the DFA when there are people telling you to process your papers and in the end they will just scam you and wave goodbye to your money. i am always careful in terms of this issue.

Hi, Yes...I do have a passport as I am travelling out from town every year. Since I graduated from high school, my father make me a passport for my travelling as I went to overseas for my study. So i have been carrying passport for more than 15 years. It is convenience to have passport in hand,so that when I need it anytime to book any air ticket, I just need to key in my name and passport number. Sometimes during emergency, we may really need passport in hand. For my son, since he was a baby, I have make a passport for him. Because he will follow me for travelling too.

I had a passport since 2004 and now it is expired already.. Having a passport is really of big help .It is one of the best / valid Identification a person would have.. It is very important and as well as very useful and badly needed when you go abroad.. It is easy to get one if you will have the right papers and some identifications.

I haven't made one, as I haven't gone abroad. I even don't have any plans to go abroad. maybe if I have enough money to take vacation abroad, I'll consider a passport. Usually, how long do they make passports??

Yes. I got it last August 28. It took more or less 20 working days before I got it. The system at DFA is impressive it took me less than an hour for the transaction or application process.

Yes, it is considered as your identification already and it's useful in other ways though you're not going abroad. I would secure one too if i have time to process it. Who knows. I might need it right away so i don't need to fall in a long line and wait for days to get it.

No, I don't have a passport, but I believe that I should have one. Every Texan should have one. Then, if the violence on the border ever gets quieted down, we can once again enjoy day shopping trips across the border. However, my husband says that he doesn't expect that to happen in our lifetime, so it isn't worth the expense.

Huh? When was the last time you renewed your passport? There's a new process of renewing passport in DFA Manila and it doesn't take that long, though there are still lines to follow through but it won't take your whole day just to finish the process. Check out the DFA official website, you'll see what i'm talking about. I just have renewed my passport last May2010 'coz i had my vacation in Hongkong last June2010.

Personally I think it is extremely important now a days to have a passport. First of all it's the identification you can ever have and with immigration laws and homeland security regulations being so difficult, its worth getting it. I recently had to get passports for my 3 an 5 year old, because apparently now to leave on a cruise it is required for all passengers to have a passport no matter the age. So I would definitely consider purchasing it, anyways it lasts for approximately 10 years, so you minus well just to be on the safe side.

I got my passport in 2008 because I wanted to fly to Ls Vegas with my daughter for a holiday. So I had to apply for one and when I did it was not long after they made it a law that you needed a passport to be able to go to the United States from Canada. Till then we didn't need one unless we were going somewhere other than the states like Mexico and since I never went anywhere else I didn't need one till then. I had only a month till our flight so I applied and they said it would take about 3 months. I asked if I paid more could they put a rush on it and they said yes. So it cost me an extra $75 to have it done within two weeks and they did it in one week. I was pretty happy when they phoned me that it was ready and I could pick it up. I have since then used it several times. I don't fly anymore because I have problems now with my ears so I can't fly. The last time I flew was 2 years ago and I blew holes in my eardrums. I had blood running out of them by the time I got off the plane and I had to go straight to the hospital and that is how I found out I had holes in them. I had to use drops for 6 months before they healed totally. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced and I can't take the chance again to fly because the doctor says it will definitly happen again. So now I drive when I go to the states but I still need to use my passport to get across the border, didn't have to have a passport to drive across before either but do now. Cheers my friend and happy mylotting, Chris

I have my passport last year. It took about 60 days. Here in my counter getting passport is not easy. The local office staffs are trying to harass people for some other reason. We applied for passport for my husband, daughter and myself. The local office employees demanded number of useless documents and they also refused to received passport application of my husband as his photo was with spectacles. But when we go to the city office we submitted it easily. In our country only password is that valid documents which serve the purpose of photo identity and address proof.

Yes i have my passport since i graduated college. Me and my GF love travelling abroad, so passport is a must for us. About the processing time, i'm not sure how fast and how to get a passport in your province. I live here in manila and getting a passport here needs a schedule through internet (DFA official website). It takes a long time to be scheduled, like if you get a schedule in the website today most probably you'll get to go to the DFA office around a month after. But during your schedule in DFA office it only takes 30 minutes to complete all the process. Good luck!

I got my passport about three years ago. I was going to Mexico because my brother was getting married there and so I needed to have a passport. It was the first trip I have ever taken by airplane so it was exciting for me. I took trips to places with my parents when I was a kid but always trips by car, never by plane. I loved the plane ride and the whole vacation and swore ever since that I am going to do a lot of travelling and I have since then. Since then, since I got my passport, I have been to Las Vegas twice and Mexico twice more and Dominion Republic and Cuba and a few others. Too many to mention them all. I love to travel so I needed to have a passport to do so, like everyone does unless you don't travel out of your own country. If I travel somewhere in Canada and I live in Canada, I don't need my passport to travel. Have a good mylotting day my friend, Littlemissy
