CAUTION: This is not for the weak heart! Have you heard of Nasal Miasis? A friend showed me a very disturbing video on youtube, earlier today. It was so gross! I don't wanna tell you all about the video. I want you guys to see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrD99nEwLW0&p It took place in India. I did a little research on what Nasal Miasis is and I found out that it is a disease caused by parasitic dipterous fly larvae feeding on the host's necrotic living tissue. I showed this to a couple of Indian friends online who I met on a paid-to-post forum a few months back. They were equally grossed out as I am (I think everybody will be too). And one of them said, There are a lot of diseases like that in India among poor people. He said that the government offers free health services for the poor but they don't want to cooperate. They don't care about the diseases they have. He said these poor people live in a very very dirty and hideous place which they call slums (more like a squatters area. Philippines). Does being poor have anything to do with hygiene? I don't think so. I'm glad we don't have something like that here in the Philippines.

I guess i'll say yes with that. Being poor affects everything in life. And of those is hygiene. Well just think those what we have here in the Philippines, those poor (actually very poor) who live under the bridge, beside the river (ilog pasig or pasig river), those who lived just beside the highway, within the garbage site and many more. Do you think they still have a clean water to drink or even used for taking a bath or even just for cleaning their face? How about clean water for brushing teeth or are they still brushing teeth? How about clean water for cooking rice? Clean place to sleep over? Clean clothes to wear on? I don't think they have any of those and even more to that. So if they don't have that do you think hygiene isn't had to do with the disease or any health problems they have? Just from the word hygiene, either you get clean or dirty. Getting clean is a good hygiene but getting dirty gets bad hygiene. I don't have to see the video as well, i got to see a lot of that in our fellow Filipino (those who are really poor).
