Once upon a time......

..there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Love etcetera. One day it was announced to feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left.
Love wanted to persevere until the last moment. When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing in a grand boat when Love decided to ask for help. Richness refused saying that there was Envy and Jealousy in the boat and there was no place for him.
Vanity passed by in a beautiful vessel, Loved asked Vanity for help. "I can't help you Love. Your being wet might damage my boat."
As Sadness was close by, Love turned to him, "Oh Love, I am so sad that I need to be myself!" said Sadness. Happiness passed by, but she was so happy that she did not even notice Love.
Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." Love felt so relieved that he even forgot to ask his name. Finally they arrived on dry land and they parted ways.
Love asked Knowledge who it was. "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "But why did Time help me?" asked Love. Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because, only time is capable of understanding how great Love is."
The moral of the story is, when you are motivated by greed, anger or ego, wrong is bound to follow. Hence, do everything with love. Finally, why waste time in worrying. Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but does not take you anywhere.

I think everyone here on mylot should read this story, which is not only entralling and exciting but full of moral values. It tells a lot about our 'thinking' and our 'ego'. I loved reading it and enjoyed it very much and whatever has been told in the story everything holds true for most of us.

Hi kalav, thanks for reading. I run out of ideas what to write so I can only share a love script which give everyone something to ponder and come to their own inclusions the true meaning of the words. Thanks for asking about my mom's welfare. Well, she is not in tip top condition but her medications and food supplements are keeping her health above average and mind alert. The computer games is keeping her busy and that itself is therapeutic for an old lady.

That is a very beautiful story zandi and it says so much! You could say that, because time is the one who helped love come to shore, the older we get the more we appreciate the importance of placing love into everything we do. We cannot go wrong if we are only motivated by care and devotion for all living beings on this planet. As Dr Phil often says, “Do we want to be right or do we want to be happy?”

I think I may have used Dr Phil's quote in the wrong context. What he refers to is whenever you disagree with others and insist on being right at all costs, sometimes it is worth letting it go for peace and love's sake instead of constantly trying to prove we are right and the other person is wrong.

I actually read this parable first in a forwarded text message. ;) You are right, we should not let greed hinder us into doing something great and make us happy. When greediness consumes us, then it will make us a bitter and an ugly person. But still, let's not forget our goals in life and should reflect on things that matter to us. And worries will lead us to nothingness. Every part of life has risks and risks, for me, is a challenge that everyone has to pass in order to be happy and contended in life. ;)

hi zandi thats a lovely story and goes to show how love can not be
understood by those other emotions at all, only time is capable
of understanding how wonderful real love is.Greed and anger and'ego will never find real love if you are motivated by these emotions.In fact time and knowledge are both needed. if you do everything wih love you will be a happy camper and you will bring love to you. great discussion zandi

Hi zandi~ What a wonderful story! I enjoyed that quite alot. And
it was quite true. But sadly I'm not really sure I know that much
about "real love". I know how to give it, but I'm not sure that
I've ever really experienced it. And I'm including every kind
of relationship that I've ever had in mylife, including family!
I do waste alot of time on nonsense, and I don't know why since I'm
getting older by the day and don't have time to waste~
