Having various currencies in your balance?

United States

I am just wondering as I know its possible for me to have say 5 different currencies in my PayPal account? I receive payments in US$ but would like to get a little in other currencies as well. It would be amazing as I send money to all over the place and having the local currency would make it far easier for me. So i am just curious to know how.

I only have 2 kinds, dollars and cents. :D Seriously, I haven't joined anything where I would get payments in foreign currency - so far.

Lol...I'm with you there. Only dollars and Cents. But, the exchange rate'll kill you if you have to change it for any reason. And, paypal will definitely take it's cut (always).

Dear friend, In my pay pal I do have only US currencies, and usually credited to my bank account in Indian rupees, it may come only when those dollars are converted to rupees. I feel it might be applicable to other currencies also.

That would be one of my interests in using Paypal as well..I get some of my payments in USD for survey sites (And Mylot!),and some in GBP...I'd prefer to be able to use my funds in online locations where the respective currencies would be usable,so as to save on forex fees..

I am from England and most of my online earnings that are paid via paypal come in US Dollars which means that my total in pounds changes with the exchange rate.

Hope the exchange rate isn't too heavy.

With our paypal, we also receive dollar. But though I have a dollar bank account, the paypal converts it to our local currency. Thus, when I withdraw I don't receive dollar but peso. For me, it would be better if I receive a dollar as well.

It is OK for you to have different currencies in your Paypal balance. You can receive any kinds of currencies. But if you want to exchange one to the other, then you have to do it according to the Paypal's rate and this will make you spend extra. I love China

I now have 2 currencies in my paypal account - I used to only have it in US but decided not so long ago to add my own currency - AUD...I can't remember exactly how I did this but I think that I just went into my profile or account to add it. I hope this helps you somewhat.

I only have 3 currencies, which is, USD, GBP, and SGD. USD is my main currency as most of my earnings are paid in USD I think it's more convenient to have just 1 or two in your Paypal account as it's a bit easier when it comes to conversion.

Ya but I send donations to at least 3 countries outside the US so the forex would be easier and cheaper.
