today cheteshwara pujara has shown his good defence as well as good temperament against steyn and morkel company.can he make use of this opportunity to score a big knock tomorrow and cement his place in the indian team.the great strength of pujara is his stance and the steady head when he faces the bowlers.i think selectors has shown enough faith in him and he would definitely deliver tomorrow.

I think though Pujara did not score heavily in this game, he gave a glimpse of what he is about. When the second innings was tottering, he held firm with Laxman and held one end at bay till the end of the play. He was willing to stick it out which is more that the likes of Raina and Yuvi have shown in the past. Also, his fielding is electric at the close in positions which is another asset. Pujara's record so far reads played 2, won 2, though his average is just about 27. I think we should give him a longer run in the team. Cheers! Ram

pujara is a good cricketer, but he too failed in the south african conditions. but we cant blame him on a test were many seniors like sachin, dravid, and many failed to score. but he should have played better.

I feel that Pujara is technically very sound and clearly way better than his contemporary players like Vijay, Raina, Uthappa etc. He has the right kind of temperament that makes a player successful at the level of test cricket. He also has a large array of different shots. Given all these qualities, I feel he can be groomed to fill in the spots that will be vacated after the retirement of big three.

Today Pujara was very much calm and composed. From the beginning itself he was very much confident. This was very much clear in his batting. This time he was not like when he came for the first innings. He looks straight and his shoulders were squared up.That shows his confidence. Now he is batting to the conditions, giving a better assistance to V.V.S.Laxman.Till now he has faced 52 balls and I think this will help him to understand about the pitch.I think he is a better option to team India in this test.

He is still so much young and he is learning and getting experienced from playing with great players like sachin which is good for his future. The selectors have shown belief and i think he wont disappoint them.At least he should get to his half century today.

Even though I haven't seen him a lot something makes me feel that he is a much better and rugged player than Murali Vijay. If he is given proper chances by the captain I am sure he could fill up the place of Dravid in the coming years. It's absolutely left to the team management and the captain to give right players their deserved chances. After that it's left to Pujara as to whether he is able to show what he is capable of with the chances given to him.

Hi there, Even I am optimistic about Pujara. It would be too ambitious to expect a century or more for he is very new and some pressure would obviously be on him. If he scored even a moderate score know that he is making impact for his seat there.
