Hi, In my company their are some employees, but i cannot interact with a depth friendship, because it will affect my business.Yesterday i got a resume from my friend,he was willing to work my company. What i will do he is a good friend for me in college if i will accept he become an employee i become a boss ,some time i will talk him to so serious. How will i respond to him ? if i will be soft to him,it will be hurt other employees? I can't anger and force him to do any work.... Their is not a place for friendship in business ........... What is your suggestion?

I will not employ any of my friends. Not that they would not do a good job, they probably would do a sterling job. It is just that, if they don't, then I could stand to lose the friendship. Tell your friend that you value his friendship too much to employ him. If he does not understand that, may be he is not worth it. I do, however, formed friendship with my employee before. It worked out great. We are still friends even after that person left my company and moved on to better things.

I suggest that you shouldn't get him as an employee. Friends can become our partners but can't become an employee. The reason is there are not friendship between boss and employees. So, if you get him, you must choice between business or friendship with him.

If your friend is the best person for the job, then I really don't think that you have any choice except to give him the job. However, before you allow him to have the job you would have to talk to him and let him know that the relationship that you will have in the office will not be able to be the relationship that the two of you share during your own private time. If this isn't possible to do, then he can't work for you.
