Breakfast -most important meal of the day

Why is breakfast known as the most important meal of the day? I generally do not like to take a breakfast because my mouth feels dry in the morning. Does it have any implications in weight loss.

Glucose is essential for the brain and is the main energy source. Blood glucose also helps fuel the muscles needed for physical activity throughout the day. Breakfast is also very important for weight loss and weight management.You 'break the fast' of not eating for the past eight to 12 hours. It helps curb your hunger and prevent binge eating later in the day. Breakfast is important to manage your weight and potentially lose weight by eating less calories throughout the day.

Medicine is starting to rethink this. People should eat only when they are hungry. There are too many people overweight today. Those who skip breakfast are usually thin. I skip breakfast. My guts like to sleep til noon. Of course the rest of me is awake early.

Hi viru, Who told breakfast is the most important meal of the day? It could be so for only a section of people who have no time to go home to take lunch or who manage the midday meal with something or the other. Doctors are opinion that those suffering from gastroenteritis and sleeplessness a little heavy dinner is good. It induces sleep and if you do not have sufficient of it you would feel dizzy all the day.

I was also informed that Breakfast is the important meal of the day. It was considered as the important meal of the day because its the time that we need to have energy and loads of strength so in order for us to survive the whole day activity we need to take our breakfast meal complete and heavy. According to some dietrician if you are into diet dont forget to eat your breakfast because you have the whole day to digest what you have eaten in the morning. Its ok to have a slight meal on lunch and dinner but breakfast make it heavy and complete.

Hey viru1981, there are a few reasons to why breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast if the first meal of the day. You will need a big breakfast to get you through your day. A big lunch will get you through half of the day. A big dinner will get you to go to sleep, which really doesn't help. It might get you a belly. Hope I helped! =P
