How security changed.

I saw a show that compared security from past and present. In some country, they used to openly write super stars addresses on magazines in the past, but now of course, they wouldn't do that. But even if they exposed home addresses in the past, people gave more respect to these superstars and never thought of harassing them, so it was 'safer' that way. As the years gone by, there are a lot of new security measures and approaches like this taken and people don't easily expose their personal information as they used to in the past. But with twitter and blogs, people still reveal other personal matters there. So do you think the past was more safer and secure? Do you think the more protected we get, the dangers also grow along with it? What are your thoughts?

Oddly enough, I've just been discussing this issue with a friend as we decided whether or not to include my home address on my website. In the end we decided that anyone who did a whois search on the domain name would find my address anyway so I went ahead.

Wow, that's bold, I would be afraid to do it.

We accept working holidaymakers at the farm so they do need to know where to show up really!

I do find it riskier now a days moreso then in the past. Primarily because fraud is getting much more lucrative these days. I also feel the more are getting smarter and protecting themselves more now too. I know I am.

Everything changed during the past years. When I was still small, I live in a house with no fence and our doors have no lock. Now, we have fence which is very high and still there are burglurs who trespass sometimes.

I remember back when you could get super stars addresses from certain companies for a fee and write them fan mail. Not anymore. Everything has changed because of a few lunatics. And now the TMS at the airports is getting weird. Yes, the more secured everthing has to be the harder it will be for us to live normal lives.

I agree with you.The present with so many comforts and conveniences is less secure for human life than in the past.Life was simple and people were less competitive in earning and making wealth.Yhough they lived a comparatively hard and less comfortable life they were mentally happy as they lived a secured life..

I think the security system today is so tight that it can be a hazard to everybody as well. They try to make things a lot safer but instead making things a lot more complicated and hazardous at the same time.
