I'm going to Hong Kong two weeks from now, where should I go?

My trip to Hong Kong would be my second time visiting a foreign country. Singapore was my first. Unfortunately, I didn't get to fully enjoy my trip there because aside from being alone most of the time, the attractions which currently boost Singapore's tourism (such as the Universal Studios) were under construction back then. The sole experience that thrilled me in Singapore was watching the breathtaking Songs of the Sea with my father. It was one of those magical movie-like moments where there are sparks all around you. I was stupidly smiling in awe throughout the show. I wonder where I can see a fountain show as beautiful as Songs of the Sea. I would really love to see another one. Anyway, I swore that having a failed trip due to lack of planning would never happen to me again so I'm asking help from you guys. :) I'd visit my dad in Hong Kong two weeks from now and this time, I'm not alone. Hah! My brother and pseudo-sister would be accompanying me. We would be there for 9 days only and so I want to make the most out of our short stay. Anyone here who's ever been to Hong Kong or better yet, lives in Hong Kong? What are the must-see attractions? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Hong Kong Disneyland is great both for the children and the young a heart. The Ocean Park is also good. It has more adventure ride compared to Hong Kong Disneyland. Try the Peak and the rest of the must see in Hong Kong. You may also go to Macau for a day tour, Hong Kong to Macau would cost about 180HKD one way. There is no problem in terms of transportation once you are in Macau, bus ride are available everywhere you go. Just bring money for food and for shopping or for souvenir.

Young at heart here :) Disneyland's already on my list long before this trip was planned. I've always dreamt of going there. How long would it take to go to Macau from Hong Kong and how much would it cost me if I were to go to all the places you recommended? Thanks to both of you btw :))

I traveled to Hong Kong when I was 28 years old. I found the view from the top of the mountain really stunning. I enjoyed riding on an old tram and seeing the view out its the window. I loved going to a ferry in the harbor. I took a bus out to a beach on one the the outer laying areas. I would suggest you have a look around the market. I hope that you get to see a fountain show as lovely as Songs of the Sea.

What mountain in particular? I also enjoy sightseeing especially when the view pacifies me. The stunning beauty of nature can change my mood most of the time. There was this time when I just laid under the sun for hours while hearing the sound produced by sea waves and chirping birds. It felt like heaven. Have you seen the Songs of the Sea too? Thanks for the advice btw :)

i have been to hongkong last 2 years for our summer vacation. it only lasted for 3 days but still we managed to enjoy. the magic of managing your short stay in hongkong is to have a planned vacation. we have been to hongkong disneyland which is famously know to be really great(they are just smaller version of other disneylands). you can also go to ocean park where they said is a great theme park too(the best option if you have been to other disneylands). you can also have a city tour bus where they will tour you around the best places in the city. you can ask for packages when you booked your flight.

Wow, having a three-day trip somewhere far is way too short but you still managed to enjoy. That's great. Having a tour guide is out of the option. We have very limited budget. Thanks anyway :) where are other Disneylands located?

Hong Kong has the following places to go. 1. Ocean Park, 2. Hong Kong Disney Land, 3. Ladies Market, 4. The Peak etc. You may get a map at the airport. Plan your activities ahead.

Are the stuff sold at Ladies Market cheap? I forgot to add on my post, where is the best place to buy gadgets? My friend is asking me to buy pastel-colored headphones for him. Someone told him that he's seen one in Hong Kong but can't remember where exactly. Thanks again :)
