Hi asliah.. Yes, I'm afraid. When it's a small cut and small amount of blood, I don't usually get dizzy. But when it's a large cut and lots of blood flowing, I feel very dizzy but I hardly fainted. I also feel uncomfortable whenever there are some trouble going on like street fight and there are some blood on their faces. I get super dizzy in that situation and also want to puke. I also don't know how to overcome it. I want to but I just can't think of anything positive to release such fear on my mind.

Hello asliah, all i can tell you is that if someone is there with you when something happens then let them take care about the losing blood and you don't watch it. You don't want to see yourself bleeding too much. I had such an experience once and i was in shock to feel the pain or realize that the blood was streaming like a small water fall from my left leg. Mom was there with me when a small accident happened with me and she was so scared.. I could see the inside of my leg, a little.

You mean you saw your inner flesh, voldrox? I think if that happened to me, I will shiver and faint. But you're brave in that situation.

I'm really not afraid of blood. I don't feel any dizziness when I see a blood. But I don't like the smell of blood.

I hate that smell too. Only happens when there is a loss of considerable amount of blood.

Hello asliah, I guess you are quite sensitive to seeing blood. Well, i understand. I don't feel dizzy seeing my blood but yeah nobody wants to see a bloody pool. That is too much for anybody, almost. Just take care of yourself.

Accidents really do happen and we can't avoid it. We just have to be careful so we won't get hurt and have ourselves be bruised or cut off in any part of our body. I don't feel light headed or dizzy when I see my own blood. I don't even feel anything when I see other peoples blood even if it came out from their head internal organs or any part of the body. I wouldn't become a nurse if I were afraid of blood.. But I do know a nurse who's afraid of blood but still wants to fulfill his dreams to become a nurse. Weird but, he did actually went well with his blood exposure.

Same with me, I really hate seeing blood whether it came from my own skin or seeing others getting wounded. I still remember when I graduated from high school, my mother wanted me to take Nursing but then came a time that I accidentally hit my finger with a knife while cutting the meat for cooking. I got dizzy and eventually lost consciousness. That situation made me changed course. LOL! Well, I can't really take it seeing blood.

This happens to my friend and he says it's because he stepped on a sharp spinning top when he was little. It pierced him deep in his foot and since then he faints at the sight of blood. I think he has learned not to faint though, because the last time I had a bloody cut, he didn't get dizzy at all.

OMG! I was about to respond "Do you feel that way when you have your monthly period?" You sure are so feminine in your avatar. Glad I checked your profile first. No, I am not scared of blood. In fact, I heard a doctor once said that ladies shouldn't be scared of blood because they deal with blood monthly through their cycle. He has a point I must say. You seem to be hemophobic. Have you been traumatized by blood before? Maybe you can get yourself checked by a psychologist to help you overcome your phobia. When you feel this way next time you can apply tension on your muscles to keep your blood pressure and heart rate up, for you to avoid fainting.
