Home is where the Heart is!!! Is Obama's home America??

United States

Now America knows (??) Obama was born in Hawaii but is he at heart an American?? NO...says Obama ...the link is where Obama says Kenya is Home. http://www.www.godlikeproductions.com/forum1/message1460951/pg1 I think a president should think the country he holds the presidency to should be where he considers home. Perhaps this is why our country is in such poor shape. What do you think??

Actually his Kenyan grandmother never said that, she said he was born "in America, in Hawaii!" The audio was very unclear and the translation wasn't accurate. http://factcheck.org/2011/04/donald-youre-fired/ Why hasn't anyone been demanding to see the records of President Obama's American mother's trip to Kenya then to Hawaii? Aren't passport records kept somewhere and wouldn't that show if she'd traveled to Africa at some point before Aug. 4, 1961? Annie

Maybe he went home to visit gramma. You know, the one who insisted he was born in Kenya and said she was present at the birth. It's a discussion site, just like MyLot. Maybe we should post a disclaimer for all the opinions posted here too.

I think it's a non-issue. We're in poor shape because our politicians act like four year olds, and our voters enable them. Now that the Birther movement has been formally discredited (though they're not likely going to let a little thing like facts get in their way of their paranoia), I think it's time we ALL move along and actually get to things that matter - like, I don't know, fixing this country?

"He's obviously keeping our attention off what's going on in the background by leading us to worry about something this inconsequential." If that were the case he's doing marvelously. The birther crowd is already calling forgery, and quite frankly I doubt any measure of evidence will ever shut all of them up entirely. The question is, if any birther believes he's purposely trying to misdirect attention with this birth certificate nonsense, why are they so eager to take the bait? It's quite telling of a person's list of priorities, with scandal on top, and issues pertaining to the actual welfare of our country being below it. Then again, I'd wager one of America's biggest threats is it's own people's waning attention span and eagerness to be distracted from our real problems. Ten years down the road with Obama's idiotic policies probably still wreaking havoc, everyone will have already forgotten about this conspiracy theory.

I don't see where the birthers have keep the countries issues from being dealt with. Obama did just fine, despite his condesending speech saying otherwise, of messing things up- despite the birther issue being blogged about and discussed. Only when Trump stepped up did it scare him into addressing it in a short speech. Oh yea, I forgot his lawyers fees to send him for the BC, but heck, he's spent millions on that already. Does that not make you wonder why? A fellow RICH man with the resources to get to the bottom of whatever was keeping him from showing it must have struck a nerve somehow, and I for one am curious. Go on, admit it...you are too? maybe? I agree, the American people have a short attention span. But I fail to see how this 'distraction' is causing the issues to not be dealt with. After all, WE can't make him show the birth certificate, how can we make him govern any better by shutting up? I personally feel the root of the whole problem with Obama is everyone in Washington is afraid of him, and Trump just showed him he's not afraid. And Obama (gasp) backed down for once!

In taking a survey put out by the local school district, I noted that their goal was to turn out responsible global citizens. I responded in the survey that I wanted them to turn out responsible and proud American citizens. But this is the current thinking, we are supposed to be global citizens. That is what I believe Obama aspires to. He wants the US to be part of a global community, even and especially if that means transforming this country and eroding its people's allegiance to its founding principles. Does that give him a heart for America? I don't see how the two can exist together. No, it is not wrong to point out the things we could do better or to strive to correct problems. However, it seems only liberals are allowed to do this. What they want to "correct" are the things the rest of us cherish. A president with a heart towards America would work towards her good, her right standing, her reputation in the world and the welfare and prosperity of her citizens. I have not seen these things as priorities in the Obama agenda.

I honestly do not know what Obama's agenda is for our country but I am very sure it does not bode well for us. You said "A president with a heart towards America would work towards her good, her right standing, her reputation in the world and the welfare and prosperity of her citizens. I have not seen these things as priorities in the Obama agenda." I could not agree with you more!

Hatley you need to get your facts straight when you refer to me! I never loved George Bush, he is nor and never was my hero. I was a staunch Democrat and would have voted for Hillary in a heartbeat. It was not until Obama came on the scene with his murky past, his Mentor Rev Wright (an America hater) and his other anti American terrorist friends. It was his lies and his narcissistic, supercilious disregard for the American people that I saw his true nature and began do dislike him, now it has grown to hatred. He is the only human being on this planet that I feel hatred for because of what he is doing to destroy my country. My 3 great grandsons are biracial just like Obama (white mother, black father) so do not dare to bring the typical Obama supporter cop-out into this discussion by insinuating I am a WASP racist. Shame, shame shame on you and I made the mistake of thinking you were a friend! So please do not attribute your lunatic raving to me when you know nothing about me!

Thank goodness all Republicans have to put up with is having every Republican president (or presidential candidate, for that matter,) labeled 'Stupid' while every Democratic candidate or president is the smartest person ever put on this earth. Of course, the more you get to know them, i.e., "I visited 57 states and have two more to go", we discover maybe smart isn't quite the right word to use. (There ARE 57 Islamic states, however.)

Aww come on now mystic, he was tired from the campaign and just forgot what country his was in! I to am very sick of the racist BS being lobbed about anytime someone disagrees with Obama. How judgmental of them. I'm waiting for some conservative black mylot member who doesn't have a picture posted to be called racist...how embarrassed the name caller would be. Or how about those white liberals at the Wisconsin protests calling black conservatives names or reminding them the were on Koch's plantation? Or the black man being beaten by union thugs for holding a sign that didn't fit their agenda? @Hatley, read the history of the KKK or for that matter read the history written by a black woman, Angela McGowan, on the Democrat Party from Reconstruction on. Her book is titled 'Bamboozled'.

http://sammylake.wordpress.com/2011/04/21/ugh-ok-lets-talk-citizenship/ The fact that Obama was adopted by Indonesian Lolo Soetoro in the 1970s, and his name was legally changed to Barry Soetoro at that time, is most likely the reason he is spending millions of dollars to hide his birth certificate. He never filed the papers to change his name back to “Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.”, so any birth certificate produced by the state of Hawaii would list him as “Barry Soetoro”. This piece poses some interesting things to ponder. I had read it a while back and didn't give it another thought. BUT in light of today's revelation... I wish I knew adoption law. But wouldn't it show up if he had been adopted by Soetoro? Don't they seal the original and issue another one?

My daughter was adopted by my husband. She was issued a new birth certificate showing her new legal name and a new social security card showing her new and legal name.

I had never even thought about the adoption aspect. It really all sounds very fishy!

Without wasting my time reading the article I think you are looking for things to question and complain about when it comes to Pres. Obama. You seriously STILL question whether America knows Pres. Obama was born in Hawaii?

Why waste your time responding when you do not know what the discussions is about! It has absolutely nothing to do with his Hawaiian birth. Obviously you have no idea what I am looking for...it is not responses from a member who does not read the discussion. BTW the link is not to an article!!

He should regard America as his country. He could have said that Kenya was where his father came from, not that Kenya is his country. That is why America is going downhill, because does not really regard himself as a true American unless the fact that he was born in Hawaii.

I believe his policies is to bring us under the rule of that New World Order he and the other elitist keep talking about. The Cloward Piven's Strategy's stated goal was to bring America to it's knees. Are we not on the brink?

To bad home really isn't where the heart is? He certainly doesn't feel at home here. He dislikes those whom he was elected to lead. He bows and scrapes before the Muslims who have driven up the price of oil to over $4 a gallon and he doesn't even know how many states are in this union!

Every President going back at least to Nixon have been photographed or filmed "bowing" to a foreign leader but somehow nobody noticed it until Barack Obama did it! Also, it's reportedly the Wall Street speculators driving up the cost of oil AGAIN. Annie

So just because he's Barack Obama HIS bow was different than Nixon's, Ford's, Carter's, Reagan's, Bush Sr's., Clinton's and Bush Jr's? Annie

He says NOTHING to OPEC. As for the bowing, I meant it figuratively, but now that you mention it; there are customs that dictate HOW to bow amongst equals and how to bow when submissive or subservient. I would list them here but you can find them for yourself. He bowed as a servent, not an equal.

Well, I always knew Obama was born in HI. One of the requirements for the presidency is you must be an native-born U.S. citizen or if born abroad, both parents have to be American citizens and since his father was not, that means he had to be born in the U.S. I think that ufo/conspiracy sites and/or forums tend to get a little overzealous with their claims. Obama may have said it's good to be back home when he was in Kenya, but that is where his father lived and was from. It is his ancestry home! I think some of these 'lunatic fringe' sites (their words, not mine) need to lighten up with their literal translations. (BTW, that site is aggravating because of all the banners they shove in your face obliterating half their content. I get it. I get it.)

He should be removed form presidency. All the proof shows that he is not even born in America. Now this? I think there is a conspiracy going on. In his formative years he was not even educated in America. Also if you saw Donald Trump on The View, he was absolutely correct. Who remembers Obama in his younger years? We don't know a thing about this guy. There are a lot of questions that are unanswered about our president.
