I have heard a prediction that on May 21, of this year ( a few weeks from now)a global earthquake is suppose to happen. With all the earthquakes that have been happening this year I would not be totally surprised. If you google this date there is alot of stuff that comes up about this day being the beginning of the end of the world as we know it. It also says that instead of 12/21/2012 that October 28th of this year is really the end of the world as we know it. Has anyone else heard about this prediction and if so do you believe it or not.

Well, unlike stine, this is the first I heard of it..Tell me, where did you hear this prediction? From a meteorologist? a spiritual site? Where? If it was a meteorologist, then they might have something, not that it will happen, but it's like when they predict the weather, the signs are there, but it doesn't mean it will happen.

Just to clarify I don't believe anything will happen on May 21, 2011, I just wanted to know if anyone else heard about this and if they believe this.

Weather has nothing to do with earthquakes so I wouldn't take a meteorologist's word for it either.

There has been so much discussion of the end of the world theories there is no way to know what has validity and what does not. With the earthquakes happening across the world it is certainly believable that something of this magitude could happen. Will this constitute the beginning of the end of the world thats hard to believe.

That is the only thing that makes me wonder due to the magnitude of earthquakes that have happened in the past two years.

Goodness no..I haven't heard it. I hate the end of the world predictions. I don't usually put a lot of attention on them but they do bug me. I think I heard something about the 12-21-12 one.

No, I have never heard of this at all. Well, we just have to wait and see..I have never really been in a real earthquake before- just those really small ones you barely can't feel. It's quite scary but I don't really believe it..I hope it's not true..

Hi, lelin1123! Believe or not? this question is not important! If it would be true, what can I do for it; what can I prepare? Nothing! So I'll try my best to forget what I see in your discussion and live as usual.

I was just curious if anyone else had heard of this date and what was suppose to happen that day. If the question was not important you did not have to reply. I only respond to questions or comments that mean something to me and that I have something logical to write. Have a great day!

I did a little googeling before posting this. All the info I see on this is from garbage pseudo-science sites and all seem to cite the bible as interpreted by church group traveling the country in a big RV preaching this prophecy as the source the source for this prediction....so I think you can rest easy.

I don´t believe in predictions. My end of the world, as you say, will com when I die. By the way, just in case you are interested, a while ago there was an earthquake in my country. It wasn´t a big one where I live, but I jumped out and raked Autumn leaves for a while. I live in Chile where the worst earthquake ever recorded took place during my lifetime.

Glad to know about it. Just heard about it after reading your post. I don't know anything about this certain number that many people make certain issues like end of the world prophecy. Too bad, haven't they realize that its only God will know when He will end the world. Too many predictions won't help a thing.

I don't know whether this day of predicted world destruction is accurate or not, but I do believe that we are head to the end of the world as we know it. I would just continue to believe in God and live the best life I can live. We have not control over when or where this exist will occur, so the best thing I suggest is to be watchful and love your family and neighbors and yourself. There are many people who do not believe in the end of the world, I am not sure why they don't believe it, every good thing must come to an end;that includes the world as we see and know it. Unfortunately, the end of the world as we know it will catch so many people by surprise. The warnings are all around us, but we/some have their heads buried in the sand like the ostrich.

I've heard May 20 as the date the earth ends and a lot of other dates. Since nobody really knows when it will end, I just live each day as if it's my last while planning to live to a ripe old age. I don't worry about the people trying to predict when the world will end, I can't do a thing about it.

Really?! I have never heard about this. Where did you hear this news? I really hope, not happen. If so happens, hopefully no injuries. There have been many disasters, which recently occurred, and there are many victims. Very sad, if true. Hopefully, God hears the prayers of people. It's all pray for salvation.

A global earthquake? I don't believe it will happen. There must be regions that will not experiencing it. If it's true, than my place will certainly experience it. So let's see it later.

i dont see how god has anything to do with it. yes the world will end but not in our life time, but i believe this is the beginning of the end.Earthquakes, floods, tornadoes in countries that dont normally get any, these are signs of the earth trying to heal itself, something big is going to happen, but i dont think you can put a date on it.

hi lelin i am sorry but i don't believe it because they can right an article any where any site and any inventor who is creating this it is difficult to easily believe because we all know that only God knows what will happen to us no people or any other religion or what . We all just pray that this will not happen because many people will be affected and it is difficult when this will happen.

A _global_ earthquake? How would that work? Earthquakes happen when very specific geological processes take place. They can't happen everywhere - the earth simply isn't made like that. In any case, we can't predict earthquakes with anything like that accuracy weeks in advance. If we could, don't you think they'd have warned the Japanese to expect a tsunami? It's a scaremongering myth, just like all the other similar ones.
