How Pakistan is going to tackle the recent situation?

Pakistan, the paradise for terrorists, is now in deep crisis. On the one hand there are the fundamentalists who have strong influence on the common people of Pakistan whereas on the other hand there is tremendous pressure from other influential countries, especially from the United States of America over the combating of the terrorists. Pakistan has to maintain a delicate balance between these two factors. I do not know how Pakistan is going to tackle it. But it is no doubt a very delicate question on which depend a lot of future outcomes. Have you any idea?

Yes, you are right. But the way Pakistan handled Osam Bin Laden sent very wrong message to both sectors of the soceity you referred to. If Pakistan want peace and harmony it must handle the terror thing properly. It must totally work toward eradication of terror and its network and organizations regardless of how strong and poerful these groups are. The only peaceful way is through education. It is through education by telling the truth to these young men who gave their lives to nothing but propaganda and lies. For instance, the young terrorists are told by exteremists that you kill yourself and others for the sake of Jihad, there are 17 virgins awaiting you in heaven. All these we all know are nonsenscial and are not true. Young men and women are to deprogramed of this flase indoctrination. EVeryone must do it. We can do it through tell people. God wants good life for us and God does not want a life of killing and then you think you go to get good life like meeting 17 virgins. Why should you be given even one, for what good work did you do? Shame on this teaching. DO something to stop this madness.

The education is the best way to go, even to let the world know of this so the governement can do something.

Truly speaking, Pakistan is controlled by the fundamentalists and the army. The government there is nothing but a puppet. Moreover, there are hunger, illiteracy, poverty and so on. So the best way to control the young generation is to encourage them for 'jihad' so that they never demand the basic requirements of life which can never be provided by the rulers there.

Do you think there is any government in Pakistan? If at all there is any government, it is a puppet one which can not function independently and has to follow the directions of the army.

So far every time Pakistan had been caught on the wrong foot or for that matter, red handed, These things have happened: Step 1: Denial. Deny everything that happened has any connection with Pakistan. Step 2: Issue different versions of the incident and create a muddle and try to confuse the world. Step 3: Pretend to be sincere in assisting in cornering the culprits while doing the opposite. step 4: Stall any progress in real investigation and prosecution when the culprits are evident. Cite local laws and demand persons to be sent to Pakistan for deposing in some obscure court there. By this time another incident would have occurred, pushing the first issue to obscurity. In this development, the first has been done, the second is underway and the rest will follow.

But I think the situation is different from the previous occasions. Laden was there. This is a reality. So Pakistan can not deny this fact. At the same time, Pakistan can not claim the credit of helping America because it will provoke the fundamentalists who control the common people there. So long during its dealings with India, Pakistan could do whatever it liked. But Pakistan will never dare do so with America.

There is no way that they can tackle this situation. They are wrong. They will play the game like every other liar will, deny, deny, deny. Pakistan is a radical country. They do not care about the people of the country. They are like Saudi Arabia, greedy. They want all the money while the people have to live in huts and caves and go hungry. It all comes down to 2 things with them. Religion and oil.

But now Pakistan has to tackle America and also has to face the consequences of the whole world, which I think is a little bit difficult for Pakistan to stand now.

Hello Didi, I liked the term Paradise for terrorists! It is a perfect description. So far, Pakistan has only denied everything stoutly and when that did not work has just given a lot of different versions to create confusion. Now in this situation, only yesterday I was listening to the official speech given by Gilani and he was openly criticizing America for executing Laden in such a stealthy manner. His main statement, which is anyway true, was that it was America in the first place that has created the monster of Osama Bin Laden. It was done as part of America's plan to oust Russia from Afghanistan, but eventually backfired on America. Again, I am not saying that I support Pakistan's stand on this, America was 100% RIGHT in hunting down Laden and killing him right away. Also we cannot forget that Pakistan is now in possession of nucler weapons AND the support of China. They may not use these weapons against USA, but for us in India, it is something that should be taken seriously. Any weapon fired from Karachi has a full open and short access directly to Mumbai and one can only imagine what will happen to the Indian economy, were such incident ever to befall Mumbai. As to the crisis factor in Pakistan, I doubt it will have any serious impact as they have full support from China and also USA will not be able to completely stop funding them. It may mean reduced funding with more stringent control though.

Yes, Laden was the creation of USA to teach Russia. But what an irony of fate, soon America became the target of Laden.

I pity the pakistan. Pakistan is being receiving pressures from the influential countries, especially from United States of America and India. Pakistan herself facing many internal problems. Therefore, pakistan must be transparent hereafter and cooperate for combating terrorism.

It is true that Pakistan is being pressurized from both inside and outside of the country. But I think it would not be wise for America to pile too much pressure on Pakistan which may develop an embarrassing situation for the government there and consequently may disrupt the combating action against the terrorists. America instead should keep a constant vigilance as well as pile pressure on Pakistan so that the country is compelled to take strong action against the terrorists.

I think that a correlition should be elected from other countries that are nutral to help with ideas. The US had a personal vendetta against one of those terrorists and they may back off alittle now. Doubt it. I think with so much at stake that they really need to seek help and advice from other countries. I know the US was going to stay on board and teach them how to defend themselves and other such things so that may be of help.

What I have heard of this situation Pakistan are not being very friendly it comes to America and investing more om this Bin Laden story! We can't talk to his wives! We can't go back to the compound were we killed Bin Laden to do more investagating! So right now Pakistan and the US are having very strained relations! When I think about this I think Pakistan knew Bin Laden was all along! They were hiding him and Bin Laden was living in plain site! I want to know why Pakistan did this! Alot of people do and I hope Pakistan gives us answers! Soon!
