Why does it seem that Public Enemy#1 should be the politicians?

When I look at the causes of inflation, war, poverty, and the complete and systematic uneven distribution of funds both public and private, it is impossible for the miscarriages of justice that are shoving America and many other countries over the edge of financial and eventual political ruin to have happened or to continue the inexorable push without the active efforts of the "old Boys Network" of political power players. Politicians become public servants, not out of any sense of social responsibility or even because they want to make a difference in the way things are run. Almost all politicians become politicians because they like the spotlight, the perks that come with the job, and to get their snouts in the biggest trough of liquid cash anywhere on the planet. Annually the IRS receives over 3.5 trillion dollars in taxes. These are not a combination of what they are owed and what they get, that total $3,500,000,000,000 is roughly the amount of money that came into their coffers in 2010. There are 380 million Americans so that is roughly an average of just under $10,000 a head for every man, woman, and child in America is available to provide infrastructure, education, medical care, etc. The largest amount of the money that the IRS collects goes to governmental salaries and departmental budgets. Of the money that remains above that the politicians decide and debate about what to do with it before it even arrives. They even begin spending it before it arrives, by making deals, purchases, and stuff on credit based on the collection of this money. They spend bilions in interest alone just on this one thing, spending money they don't have yet. Billions of dollars that if it were the policy of the government to spend only money that it has on hand, like we have to. Stop borrowing against the future and that would leave us billions of dollars in liquid cash rather than the pundits, and cronies in private industry who get fat as ticks on that big interest. Politicians also create laws and policies intended to benefit the wealthy more than the individual citizen when under the eyes of the law we are all supposed to be equal. Instead politicians maintain that it should always be the wealthy and powerful citizens who have the right to rule over the rest of us so that they can maintain the siphoning off of our money to themselves, their families business and philanthropic favorites, and their cronies. I know in other parts of the world the situation is a lot more dire, due to the same type of governmental robbery of the people, but there is no goverment on the planet more corrupt, or more full of leaches, thieves, liars, and outright cheats and horsethieves that the US government. We have the most liquid cash to play with, we attract the biggest crooks.
