I myself usually don't recycle, maybe I'm too stubborn to do recycling. but sometimes I recycle old notebooks to turn it to scratch papers, maybe that's a achievement in helping mother Earth.:)

Hi, friend, welcome to MyLot. I do recycle. I have to take the items to our "transfer station" I do not save the cans yet, but I do recycle various plastics, glass, cardboard, magazines, etc. We also have an area called "reuse" where things that are still useable are placed for others to have.

here in Canada, most of the cities and municipalities have their own anti-littering laws which is stricly imposed, part of the anti-lettering laws is recyclying so most of houses here do recycling even small piece of paper or plastic, just separate this recycables and our government do the rest...some recycables can earn dollar though...

I do recycle because I care about Mother Earth. I eat a vegan diet so I am that sort of person. In my local area each home has a green recycling box. I put paper, card, tins, some plastic and some glass jars in it. I have got a very large green bag for garden cuttings. I sometimes drive down to my local dump and give loads of things for recycling. I have got a black bin on wheels and some stuff I have to throw into it like used diapers and packaging that is not able to be recycled.

Hi dubando. I recycle as much as I can . It's the least that I can do for mother Earth and the future generation. When I was studying, I would also usually recycle old notebooks. Congratulations on making small steps in helping mother Earth .

Deforestation is a major issue today. this is because man is using natural resources to fulfill his needs. The increase of these demands has led to increasing levels of destruction of our natural resources. These resources being limited, a day would probably arrive when we dont really have anything to turn towards. Think about all the trees that are being axed in the forests today. Your habits of wasting paper could be one of the million reasons that contribute towards such problems. Practicing the concept of recycling will benefit us in our everyday life. Have you given a thought to the amount of energy you waste on an everyday basis do you really require the light to be switched on at your sink in the morning therefore, reduce the use of energy. This is simply because, a lot of materials are required to manufacture new products that require energy and these are not always biodegradable. The more number of nonbiodegradable products or materials added to the environment means more matter in landfill areas. This in turn creates more issues due to lack of space in such landfill sites that cannot really accommodate nonbiodegradable objects. A time will soon arrive when there would really be no more space on earth to accommodate all the junk we add on an everyday basis. Knowing the importance of recycling should be a must for everybody today. Our every little activity would either help the environment or even destroy it gradually. Hence being aware of our responsibilities is a step towards saving our planet. Recycling would also reduce the levels of pollution we would thus have clean air to breathe. Recycling products made of plastic, aluminum, cardboards and paper helps to conserve energy and does not add more to the already crowded landfill areas. recycling products and saving energy would subsequently help you turn earth into a greener planet. Probably you would now be thinking about ways to recycle if you havent already then you need to read about some tips you can use to implement the concept of recycling on an everyday basis.

Yes, I recycle, and encourage others to do it too. Our town has an area behind the town hall that accepts glass, cardboard, and sorted stuff like that. For newspapers, junk mail, magazines, phone books and paper like that, our elementary school has a huge bin for collecting that. Once their paper bin is full, this company comes and takes it and the school gets a healthy check that's used for books, playground equipment, and stuff like that. It's a good program, every school should have it! Every day brings tons of paper: reports typed on one side of a page, notices, my own computer paper (used.) With all that, I use my paper cutter to quickly slice them into note sized scrap paper to sit in little bins by the phone, and for quick notes at the computer. When that becomes useless paper, then it goes into the box for the bin at school. I think if each and every person would get into the habit of recycling, then the world would be a better place. Not only does it take less energy to recycle old plastic into new plastic (than starting from scratch), but also it would save our landfills.

I recycle old magazines, because I use the pictures in my art. I also recycle old paper. I don't throw old letters or envelopes in the garbage, I use them when I need to write down a phonenumber, the name of the website or something like that. Most of the time part of paper is still empty so I might as well recycle it. I also recycle old socks, I turn them into dog toys. I give my old clothes, old books etc to second hand shops, they sell the things and donate the money to charity. In the village where I lived before we recycled some of garbage as well, but on the island where I live now there is only one garbage bin, and people don't divide their garbage in different groups.

Welcome to mylot!!! I do some recycling at home and some more by placing things I don´t need in the right cans. In my country there are places where you can place glass, paper and aluminum. Besides that, I never throw away leftovers and don´t buy many clothes. That is recycling too. I started trying to save money but it got to be a game with myself.

Well, I do recycle. I recycle for dual purposes one of them being is to help the environment especially the Earth and the other reason is that I can make money from that. But, only like a little bit.

I didn't always recyle. Years ago, for some reason, I just didn't think it would make a difference. Now I feel guilty that I ever thought that so I go out of my way to recyle everything I can :) I tell others to recyle too :) Your reclycing paper is a great start!! Remember every little bit helps. Mother Earth gives us so much, we do need to protect her.

whenever I can recycle something I do it if i cant recycle them, i give my items to someone who can make further use of it. I just like having new things, it gives me a fresh perspective everytime, but ultimately we have to get the most out of every little thing we have acquired may it be an object or an experience. Make the most out of life :)

I do recycle pretty much everything from newpapers to food cans to plastics to glass. I also reuse office paper if it is blank on one side. I just cut it up and use it as scrap paper. Then I recycle the rest. I also recycle aluminum cans, but I take them to the recycling center where I get paid for the amount of cans that I bring in. Recycling doesn't take much time or effort and will be easy to start at any time.
