What are some good sites I can use to learn the guitar? I was taking guitar lessons from an instructor, but I can't do it anymore. I would like to continue learning on my own, but there is so much overwhelming information. I'm looking for intermediate information for the guitar.

Hello. Good day! I've been playing string instruments such as guitar and violin. I never had some tutor before instead I study it by myself. You should have guitar lessons with video tutorial. Video tutorial is a lot more easy way to learn. I would recommend you to use youtube. There are a lot of video tutorials out there. I've use it before when studying violin and it is so much good.

I was like you. When I was young, I took some guitar lessons, but not many. Also, I learned some basic chords from a friend. And then a few more from the teachers. I wasn't very good. But I got a lot better. I did this through a variety of means. Trying to write my own songs, experimenting with chords. I often didn't know the names. Learning to play songs by famous acts and bands. But the most help for me was just experimenting on my own; I just played and played, and chords came to me. I guess all my expereinces of the guitar came together to make me the player I am today. I'm not a virtuoso, but I have the ability to write songs, and that ability grows all the time. I'd say...practice is the greatest advice I could give: it can yield wonders. Just messing about on the guitar; or imitating other players; experimenting with solos (learning the basics of the blues scale was useful to me). There must be a good many guitar tutorials on you tube. Also, sites where you can see chords. For me, incorporating chords into the songs I tried to write was very useful. Good luck!
