over sleep

Have you tried sleeping more than 8 hours? What did you feel after? Sleepy? Same here. Last night, I slept like around 8pm and woke up around 10am. So, it was more or less 14 hours. I was sleeping more than the required hours, but I was really curious even before, why am I still sleepy? Do you know why? I'm just curious. Or you're not feeling the same way I do. hehe

I often wonder about this as well. It seems that the more sleep I get, the more tired I become. Perhaps it's the body's normal reaction to oversleeping, perhaps the brain becomes too restless for the several hours that we have overslept that it rendered itself tired when we're already awake. I always think that oversleeping is such a waste of time. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

When I sleep too long next day I feel sleepy and slowly. The same situation with sleeping not enough. So I have no idea what is worst. I try to sleep 6 hours and this is perfect for me. I wish you nice day.

hahahaha... i feel the same way. 6 hours or 7 hours is enough for me. They say that old people tend to have less sleeping hours compared to younger ones. But, I'm still 25, how come I'm contented with less hours of sleep. What a wonder! :-)

Yes, i have read in a health magazine, that oversleeping could really make you feel tired and lethargic. That i can attest because it's what i feel when i oversleep. Yes, i still feel so sleepy even then. So, i always see to it that i only get just enough sleep.

When i overslept, i always feel hungry when i woke up and makes me go rushing to the fridge and eat some food. Sometimes it is not advisable to sleep more than 8-hours a day. Because it will eat up your metabolism. Normally, your metabolism should have something to digest after your 8-hours of sleep, putting more hours of sleep makes your system especially your digestive system hungry because there is no food to digest anymore since you already consume digesting on your 8-hour rest.
