I've found that I get the most referrals by having my own website. Using the generic website page that the program provides won't really do it. You need to make your own splash page or website to sell people on the program. Then refer them to the signup page. That said though, I would also advise you to not place too much emphasis on getting referrals. I don't know what kind of programs you are trying to build a downline in, but spending all your time trying to get referrals is a rather futile use of one's time. A high percentage of the people you recruit won't do much in the program anyway. The percentages are really small, somewhere around 1 - 5% that will actually be active. That means for you to get 100 active referrals, you would have to recruit 2,000 - 10,000 people which is not really possible for the average person. While getting a few referrals can help you make a little extra in a program, you should concentrate on using the program to work for you. In other words, if it's a program that involves selling products, then work on sales. In other words, make the program itself work for you and treat getting referrals as an aside to that endeavor. After all, if you can't make money by just using the program, then your referrals won't either and it won't really matter how many you get. There are many different ways to make money online and my best advice is to concentrate on the activities that make you money directly for the effort you put forth. That way, you can still make money with or without referrals.

You can post your referral links on blogs or websites. You can also try referral exchange. You sign up as a referral for someone and he/she signs up as your referral.

the only way I know to get referrals is by first showing that you are genuinely interested in. what others are trying to say, and then those same friends will begin to genuinely become interested in the things you are doing as well. That way, you both are working toward the same goals!

It's really hard to get referrals this days.I think one way is talk to your friends and convince them to join.You could also post your link to some socializing site.You could also join some forum sites and post about the site you want to have referrals, put your link to the site.And if possible post your payment proof to show that the site really pays.

It is not hard to get referrals, but it is really hard to get active referrals. That's why I am only working on earning sites which I think I can earn and reach minimum payout without the need of referrals. But of course, referrals can really make earning easier for everybody. I am currently still looking for different sites to work on, maybe you can get me to be your referral there and I'll get you to be my referral in some of my sites. In my opinion you should made a blog explaining details about the site which you have joined along with your referral link. You should give earning tips to them and also post your payment proof along with them. Try to motivate them as much as possible to join under your link. I think this is the best way to getting referrals.

The best way to get referrals is to to talk about the site you are on and post your refferal link. Post your link at the bottom of your description of a site on places like Yahoo.
