Petco where pets go to DIE!!! I am beside myself with anger. Please if you like animals boycot this company. http://www.wbng.com/news/local/Saturday--Petco-129586498.html copy and paste this and read the news article. Petco in Johnson city, ny This is the statement Petco made to inquiries about the animals on its Facebook page: "The safety of animals and associates in our stores are always our top priority. Many of our stores in recent weeks have evacuated animals due to weather and expected flooding. In this particular case, we had no reason to believe our store would be impacted by flooding The company adds that it is currently working with local authorities to safely re-enter the store, and has a team of associates at the ready and vets on call to treat any animals that are in need. They are under water in cages on the floor what good is a vet gonna do now? it has been flooding since wed and it is now sat and they still cant get in.

Oh, that is disgusting, what were they thinking? If their priority was top for the animals, SOMEONE should have been on guard 24/7 watching the weather and the store. Oh, it makes me sick to think about some of these animals and how they have suffered..

They had plenty of warning we have been having severe weather for weeks and we had plenty of warning there were gonna be floods from tropical storm Lee. Petco makes me sooo sick! I am so beside myself with anger right now! that area was being evacuated and flood walls were being put up and the news kept saying the flood walls were not gonna hold up.

I also read in the comments that this place has flooded before, so they knew, but someone was being a jerk, and that is a nice word for what I really think..

This is so terribly sad. Surely there were employees that knew this would happen and could have gone in to resue these animals sooner? I understand people take priority over animals, but good grief this is just wrong

It is sad. Employees are allowed to bring the animals home during an emergency and they even closed early due to the flooding. I just cant believe the cruelty involved in this. and now they are issuing statements that are so untrue it is not even believable.

??Well if they closed early they should have taken the animals with them. Does anyone know how many were involved and what their condition is now?? Is the building underwater?
