why do kids prefer cartoon ?

Cartoons are usually very colorful and do not communicate complex interaction between the characters. This is why children relate to them so well.

I am 20 and I still enjoy cartoons. Actually all my family does, including my mom and dad. We watch together when we have the time.

I'm 21 and I still love watching them. Though most of the time I'd prefer animes or mangas, but heck, they are related anyway. As for the kids, they are the same as adults. They'd prefer to watch what they can relate on. Do you think kids will be able to relate on love stories, dramas, showbiz talk shows, etc? Cartoons are specifically made for the kids to enjoy.

Because, the cartoon characters are almost funny and kids like these activities. Me too watch cartoon although i am over 30 and my favorite is Tom and Jerry. I am attached with mime activity and this cartoon show has enough sources of Mime, have a nice time.

When our daughter was just a kid, she is so fond of cartoons. She would usually watch those at Nickelodean channel. But as she grows older, she likes watching Animes. I think kids likes watching cartoons, because they are colorful. And they are fast in movement and usually are funny that makes the kids enjoy it.

iM 30 and yet i'm still fun of watching cartoons.. this really relaxes me. ITs fun really and feels youthful every time i had this siesta...

Because they are kids that's why they love cartoons character. Baby Television channel most kids preference. I do watch as well.

My kid loves to watch Mickey mouse and Donald duck, Chipmunks and SpongeBob. Besides that, he also likes to watch other Cartoon shows. I think children like to watch cartoons because they are so funny and entertaining. As for those violent cartoon, i prefer not to let my son to watch them. And i am happy that my son don't really like to watch cartoon now. He prefer to engage into the drawing and writing activity. Even he like to build his own toy as well.

Cartoons are colorful and simple yet very active and interesting. They do not look like "every day life", so it is something different that captures the interest and attention of children, especially younger children. The voices of cartoons often are more "animated" than normal voices (just like the characters) and there is also usually some kind of music in the background, so it is not just a visual stimulation but also an auditory one. My little one watches mostly educational programs, which are many times cartoons. I like watching them with her not only because I enjoy watching the cartoons but also to make sure that she is understanding the message of what the cartoon is trying to portray. I do not think it is enough to let them just watch educational shows if they do not understand and grasp the concepts of what they are supposed to be learning.

Hi Why kids !!! I am big enough but still I love to watch cartoons. Why ?? They are really mind refreshing. And some of them are really interesting that I used to watch them without fail. I guess its not like cartoons are for only kids. Even elders can watch some good and funny cartoons for refreshing their minds. That's what I think.

I watched only cartoons until I was 13. I didn't even know that there was anything else on television.

he he I love cartoons too, and I am forty one. my son watch in order- noddy, pokemon, local elephant cartoon - kattile kannan, teenage mutant ninja turtles, Ben 10, ninja, naruto. now he is a ninja fan at present. I still watch cartoons sometimes online to de stress myself. actually Tom and Jerry is useful to relax the mind and remove stress. i used to watch spider man, he man and the masters of the universe, mickey mouse, Donald duck and also read comics of phantom,Tarzan, mandrake etc; you reminded me of childhood and elevated my mood, thank you

Cartoons are just ... amusing in their simplicity. They can be goofy and slapstick, they can sometimes be serious, they can pull kids into wonderful fantasy worlds, and they can even be educational at times. I loved watching cartoons when I was younger because of these things. I'll even still watch some nowadays because I still enjoy some of them.

Hello! Children like cartoon,because cartoon also as a child would plain and clumsy lovely. So,the cartoon in the child's eyes are friends,is the very good friend. Ha ha! My children like all the cartoon. Happy every day!

Hi! When I was a kid, I love Scooby Doo, Ghost Buster and Donald duck. My child loves Barbie, Dora, SpongeBob but she was most entertained by that naughty Tom and Jerry show (I do,too, lol). Cartoon shows are so appealing to children because everything about them attracts them. They are just so funny, but there are also those that are so violent and full of non-sense that are not good for the child.

Kids prefer to watch cartoon because it is fitted for them because it is intended for the children. Cartoon are just like toys. Kids enjoy playing and at their young age, we don't want them to watch adult scenes because they might be shock and throw questions to their parents. With cartoons, they enjoy being a kid.

My niece and nephew love to watch cartoons.I think children like it due to its bright color and how playful each characters does.

I think it is alot because it is very very colorful so it gets kids attention. i love cartoons too.Actually you can learn lots of things from cartoons when you are an adult haha happy holidays! :)

Children can relate more with the stories, sounds, colors and actions as well. I do watch cartoons too coz i have li'l one. lol.. :)
