E.L.F Cosmetics - Let's Talk MakeUp!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone ever bought anything from the online cosmetic franchise E.L.F (Eyes Lips Face)? I recently bought some makeup (brushes, tweezer, brush holder, and makeup pencil sharpner too) from them for the first time. Problem is, the foundation color I picked is WAY too dark, and they don't do returns for that reason because of their super cheap prices. So I have to wait until I have more stuff I need to buy from them before I can try a lighter shade (don't want to pay 6 bucks in shipping for 1 item, no matter how cheap it is!). So I can't really critique this product fairly until I get a better color. I put in a second order for some lip gloss, eyeshadow primer, a lip lock pencil (honestly I don't have high hopes for this but it was only 3 bucks so I thought I'd try it). And with all this I also got a free "mini makeup collection" that has eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, lip gloss, a few brushes, etc. I haven't gotten this stuff yet, but when I do I'll let you guys know how it is. I think with my next order, if I like the eyeshadow in the free mini collection, I'll get some more and then I can get new foundation. So, have any of you ever bought from ELF? Which are your favorite/least favorite products?

I never heard of them, but I am finding out that a couple companies that make cosmetics, are not all truthful about testing on animals, so be careful what you buy and do some research..

They state on their website that they do not test on animals, and they are listed on PETAs website and the caring consumer website for being a company that do not test on animals. I think they're safe

They have really cheap prices! But because of my color mix up I don't feel comfortable telling you how well the products work. I like my brush holder, and the brushes I ordered are really soft. But as to the make up, gotta wait a little bit for that review! lol. The only thing I don't like is their shipping is 6 dollars something, and it can take a week-2 weeks for your product to arrive. When I pay 3 something I usually get items in less than 7 days, so I don't understand why it costs so much and takes so long. Maybe if you live closer to one of their companies it'll take less time though.

Then they are. I went to multiple Mary Kay parties over the last year and a half and every time they say how their products are not tested on animals. Yet when I went to the PETA site, they claim otherwise. Since the company and PETA both approve, then it should be good and now IO am going to check them out..:)

I've gotten a few brushes, foundation powder, and bronzer. For then price, these products work very well. I got my stuff in a little dollar store when I was on a trip in new York. But I noticed that Target sells a lot of elf makeup and I'm able to get some of the stuff from there.

I looked online for ELF products at Target, but couldn't find any. I'll have to look in the store next time I go. I'd really like to see the actual product before I buy it (that would have saved me from buying a too dark foundation) but I thought it was only available to me online. Which foundation powder did you get? Are the products in stores the same cheap price as they are online?

I don't have the face powder anymore but I think the one I got was just a simple pressed powder and I got one to match my skin. When I went to target for more, they didn't have my shade so I ended up getting maybelline and it worked just as well and was pretty inexpensive. As for price, I don't know how much it is online but in the store it's pretty cheap. The place I went to in new York was selling it for a dollar! I don't think target has prices as good as those though lol

I got the clarifying pressed powder, I love it!! That might be the one you got. When I use that with the translucent powder and HD powder, it looks really good (even without the liquid foundation). I think the products are really good quality for such a cheap price! Hopefully I can find them in a Target around here!

I have a few ELF products. I have some of their lip glosses which I love. I also have their liquid eye liner which is really good. I buy ELF at Target and Kmart stores. You have to really look good in their cosmetics departments because you might walk right by it. Also I have heard from some makeup artists that ELF's makeup primer is really good. That will be the next item that I buy from them.

I wanted to buy their primer but it has been out of stock since I first discovered them, which sucks! I don't use liquid eyeliner, I am not good enough a applying it! lol. But I did order some lop gloss, waiting for it to arrive! I guess next time I go to Target I'll have to look for it! Thanks!
