Well so far on this site for the first two days of my visit I have been doing quite nicely and I want to keep that up. The problem is that most of the topics that I am seeing being brought up are of little interest to me so I do not think i could write anything worth reading about them. I do not want to go around the site trying to comment on any thing that I see just because I might earn from it. I think in that way I will get very little because my comments will not be helpful nor well thought out, instead, just rushed to post... somewhere.
I am wondering if it might be okay to find past discussions to post on, if that will do much good or not?
I think part of the reason I have been doing well is because I have had some comments on the discussions and I reply back with them and interact as if actually having a discussion. If it is an old discussion it is not likely to have many visitors any more however so I am somewhat torn. I want to get the best out of this site both for earnings but mostly for myself in enjoyment. I can find tons of forums on the net to post and post for hours on anything that pops up but I don't wish to do that here. Any suggestions of what might help me in this, would be greatly appreciated.
One further question that I have is if there is any way to unsubscribe from certain discussions after a time? I looked at the FAQ for this but I found nothing concerning being able to leave a discussion. I want to do this because there are some that will only require a quick response and possible some discussion but after a time it is useless to keep it in your profile to look at later...

there many types of discussions here.
I'm sure you'll find many interesting.
You know..sometimes appears an interesting subject of some other not so important... as happens in a chat with friends.
I hope you find what you want.

Thank you for your welcome, I am enjoying myLot very much! Yes you're true that sometimes we can not find something interesting but I will not give up because I know that it is not an every day thing. I think that this sort of short sighted influence can effect many but if I can get passed it I can do well.

Nowhere does it say you have to respond to new discussions. I often enjoy responding to old ones, and see if the creator is still on here, or if they will get back to me. I enjoy a lot of subjects though, so I have no trouble finding something that interests me. You can always create your own if you can't seem to find something that interests you.

I enjoy writing my own discussions so far. I don't know how many I could post either that would feel unique. Thanks for your input though and I am quite sure if I either search for a subject on here or express my feelings, I will be satisfied!

hi echoforever you are right commenting back on our responses to your discussions pays you well.you type you earn,some of our older
discussions do get a lot of newcomers responding. I had one with 131
responses so there were two new responses and it took me awhile to
find them to comment back and tell them I loved it that they opened up my older discussion. yes you can respond to older discussions and to those without responses and to those in
your interests. surely in all the hundreds of discussions here you can find a few 'you are interested in? I am so pleased that you and several other newcomers are praising mylot and seeing that its not just earning money but making friends and learning and teaching and sharing and caring. make more friends and you will find the discussions are more interesting to you as you will learn to know us.I find it irritating though that you do not have any interest in our current discussions as I myself get a lot of responses on my discussions so surely I am not doing anything wrong?
you cannot do what you call unsubscribe as it does not work that way.you might think it useless to keep in your profile but the whole idea is to let all of us respond to any discussion on mylot that appeals to us. so yes you might not like it but a lot of us might. look mylot is a discussion forum not a entertainment forum of only those enticing things like some television programs are. we are just ordinary people doing ordinary things so its not an entertainment forum like on TV but I find a lot of my friends discussions are indeed interesting to me.Make some friends so you can see what I am talking about.

Thank you so much for your response! From your response I can see that I can easily fine something to talk about and with friends, even more. Well that's what I have been hoping for all along since joining here so I think i am so far, headed in the right direction. Although of course your advice helps a lot, thank you for sharing it. I am sure that in time I will be glad that I can't unsubscribe from certain posts, they will most likely seem prudent to me and like I never even asked that question.
