I prefer the Nightmare before Christmas. I just think that it was done better. Plus I love Sally's Song. Have you heard the London After Midnight Version of it?

You know, I honestly just couldn't get into the "tragic" tale of Corpse Bride. Here's some reasons why: First, there was absolutely no character development throughout the entire movie. In my opinion, things drifted by too quicky, without much of an explanation for anything. Sure, the steady computerized details were one of Burton's best, but they actual story lacked backbone. Secondly, I couldn't stand any of the songs. I think Burton should try and find another composer for his movies because apparently Elfman has lost his touch over the years. It really is kind of pointless to compare a masterpiece like Nightmare to something that lacks in pretty much everything like Corpse Bride. In "The Nightmare Before Christmas," the story began steadily and had already begun to develop the character of Jack who was bored with the whole "Halloween" bit. In "Corpse Bride," things begin much too hastily and it seems like the main character has no clue of what is going on around him. Oblivious you might say. Anyway, this is just my opinion.
