I believe that all of us want a good life for our family. I know how you feel gem. Do not blame yourself it things are not going the way you want it to be. Definitely, there are outside factors that sometimes pushes us to move in a different path. It is just my personal thought and I hope that this would help you overcome the hardship you are experiencing at the moment. Always remember that we are all here because there is God. Never forget Him even for a single day. They say that praying hard really works and I believe in that. Throw all your problems to Him. Let God help you by knowing Him. So, actually what you gone through recently? You mention about suffering, I guess something not so good happen to you then. I went through some sort of financial problem too, and I have to suffer for a whole long year without overspend myself. I have to work these problem out lately, and I have been suffer enough. I just hope that person who inflicted me those problem would gone through the same suffering himself. What comes around, goes around.

What happens to us happens for a reason. if you are undergoing trials don't lose faith and keep on praying, someday somehow you'll see that it teaches you to be strong and be more confident with the love of GOD. Everyone wants a good life for the family. Indeed, sometimes, to get the best, not easy to get it. There are many things, which may prevent us from getting the best.
