Hey guys please help me clarify things. I was wondering which is really true based on facts. We all knew that kids really like chocolates. Some said it is not proper because it would make the child hyper active. And we know how hard for us to keep a child that is super active; running here and there; jumping and climbing stares and more super physical activities. What can you say about this, is this true? dear Martin, I don't know exactly what's the effect of chocolates for kids. I know it is beneficial with minimum dosage (not too much) but not good for asthmatic and migraine patient. Although asthmatic and people with migraine can take it with minimal amount. It is known as aphrodisiac and that maybe the reason why it causes hyper-activity for kids. Just give kids small amount to satisfy their cravings and not let them finish a whole box or pack of it.

Yes ma'm you're right my dear bonita. But, there are parents who don't know about the effect of too much chocolate to their kids. Some parents knew it but they loved to see their kids with lots of mess on their faces from the chocolates eaten....are you this type of mother bonita? Nice day ahead my dear.. a steady diet of chocolate is not good for a child, and yes they can become hyperactive because chocolate provides a short energy boast. It can also give them bad teeth and make them fat.

Chocolate - Eat chocolate moderately
Anything too much is bad. So I think if kids consume too much chocolates then it is bad for them. But if they will eat them in moderation especially dark chocolates, I think there is nothing bad at all. I myself do love dark chocolates but I make sure I control myself to avoid bad effects. If I won't control myself I would eat nothing but chocolates the whole day perhaps.

hi, i could not see that there's a wrong when a kids eat chocolates, unless they will not toothbrush their teeth after eating of chocolates, but because of chocolates is made of caffeine too maybe the reaction for the kids is being a more energetic.

I've read that chocolate also has its health benefits for anyone. Cocoa is said to support cardiovascular health. However, if the kid does not engage in physical activities after consuming chocolate, it would lead to obesity. And, always keep it in moderation.

Personally Chocolates or other sweets out there, should always be used in moderation no matter who we are. Kids especially you need to watch as the sugars can make them quite hyper, and also when they wear off make them sluggish and tired as well. Learning to moderate the amount of sweets or sodas a person allows their children to have is a Good thing and will usually help keep them skinnier and more Healthy as well.

To much sugar is just not good for children. I know my 6 year old granddaughter gets extremely hyper if she has to much sugary stuff like chocolate or plain candy. Limited amounts and not everyday I think will be ok. Thankfully my granddaugher loves dark chocolate which is the better chocolate for you. She is allowed to have that from time to time. Remember though also to much chocolate or sugar will not only get a child hyper but also cause cavities.
