It seems that taking photos and actually having them devloped into prints has become a thing of the past. A lot of people I find now are just storing them on their camera or loading them all onto computers and not really printing the photos, unless they are being made for a big frame or something of the sort. Do you usually print your photos or how do you keep them? Thanks for commenting

Yeah mostly like that example myself never print or develop mostly my pictures iether in the USB or in facebook so some are in electronic frame picture. So printing picture are yes part of the past and to those people who are hobby of pictures collections in paper copy.

I suppose the fact that they aren't developed so much anymore is a good thing, it allows you to sort out the pictures that you might actually want to keep instead of developing a whole roll of film like the "old days".

Yes your correct.. that's why photo printing now a days is little bit laylow or slowly business. However, to those hobby and career the picture taking and printing they are prepared to print and put in the album physically.

I don't print my photos, they are just all stored. I do sell prints online though to anyone that wants to buy them. It's just easier having them in one spot and it's just less clutter in your home with the photo albums and everything else

Yes the "less clutter" part is a huge bonus, I cannot stand clutter and I don't have much space in my apartment to work with as it is.

i also keep photos stored in my computer. most of them are also posted on one social networking site. printing photos do not usually made, at least on our side, only when important occasions which need to be placed in an album or when school activities.

It is not common for those who are savvy computer users, taking photo and develop into print is for those who don't have any home computer or have no idea how to install photographic software inside their home P/C. The user of non digital camera like those using old negative film camera also are required to take them for development after done with the shot. But as time pass, more and more affordable and better digital camera are make available in the market, then more people will opt to trash out their old film camera and retire them in the dumpster.

You're right. My mom and dad used to develope pictures all the time but I'm proud that they've learned newer technology because they actually seem to enjoy the more modern method of doing things now that they've learned.

I have a lot of my pictures stored on flash drives but I actually print out my pictures that I like the best using my computer.

That's nice, atleast you have the option of sorting out the ones you actually want to keep. Sometimes I run into disappointment when I get them printed where the quality is less than what I see on the computer screen.

I've never actualy developed pictures myself and I was born in 1985, I do remember my parents developing rolls of film all the time though when I was little.

I load all my pictures onto the computer and then put them onto a disc so i have them in a safe place then if i want them for a album i can just print them off that or take them to walmart and do it there. Alot of people i know just go to walmart and print their photos there because now you just need a usb port to do that instead of developing them like you used to have to do. Technology has increased since then.

Technology certainly has improved big time since then, I like how we can choose what pictures we want to print whereas developing you have to print the whole roll which is sometimes low quality pictures and a waste of money.

I actually have never made any prints of my pictures. My mother from time to time will want to get some made but me, no. Sooner or later I would like to get a photobook or something like that made with certain groups of pictures I've taken over the past few years. But I don't know if that really counts though for what you asked. Pretty much though right now I just have all my pictures stored on my laptop and/or on Snapfish.

Well you certainly aren't alone, not many people print pictures anymore including myself. I think when I have kids though, I will try to print some just for the sake of having photo albums for them.

This is true actually. People, almost all of us, no longer seek to have our pictures developed. We just upload them in Facebook or store them in memory cards. I just realized now that the picture displayed on our frame at the house sala was a photo taken and developed from my son's Preparatory graduation. And to think that my son is now twelve! We used to have big photo albums where we store a lot of our pictures taken during family celebrations. But no more of that. Sometimes I even have difficulty finding pictures for my children's assignments and/ or projects in school. The last time I needed pictures for my second child's Family Tree, I attached ID pictures for me, my husband, and their big brother. Sometimes this is also saddening, come to think of it, there are no more photo albums allocated specifically for my two younger kids. Only the eldest has one (he has four big photo albums actually from birth til Grade 1).

That's what triggered me to start this discussion, I know how much I love looking at albums of myself as a kid I'm worried that kids now won't have that. I suppose you could create copies from the disks where your photos are stored for them to look at in the future though..

Hmmm, let me see..when was the last time i had my photos developed? Ummm, 6 years ago? I am just like other people, i don't print the photos that i took with my camera anymore because i have them stored in this hdd with a very huge memory capacity, along with the videos that i took. Lately, i've been capturing great photos using just my phone and storing them in a social media called instagram, mytubo, path, kakaostory and the likes. I am planning to get an SLR camera and take my hobby seriously. And with that I plan to print a few canvas worthy pictures to be displayed in huge frames in my house or as a present to my friends. But i'm still saving money for that, since i already spend my money on my macbook pro which i think would be very useful also when i'm going to edit all those photos that i'm going to capture and print.

I still do it. I usually have my photos developed into prints and put them in an album. I will then send them to my parents. Instead of magazines or other reading materials, we put our photo albums in our living room so that every time a relative or a friend would visit, they could take a lot at them. It is really fun especially if they would see your photos when you are still in grade school or your photos when you were just 1 year old. They also have computer in my parents home but my parents and most of our oldies don't know how to use it. They are aware of social networking sites and they also enjoy viewing photos in there but they would usually ask if we can have them developed in prints.

I think it's great that you have albums out for people to view instead of the typical magazines, I'm sure people appreciate that more as it's a personal touch. Thanks for commenting.
