My eye keeps twitching!!

My right eye twitches all the time. I tried to look online what this might mean, but they always tell you it's something worse than what it really is. Should I be worried. I've been a little stressed out lately. Could that cause your eyes to twitch? Or should I go see the Doc? It's more annoying than anything. I feels like a weird muscle spasm and nothing makes it stop. It twitches for a couple seconds and then it stops.

I got eye twitches every time I forgot to take my calcium/magnesium supplements for a long time.Eye twitches were the earliest sign of calcium/magnesium deficit. Then,I would get muscle fasciculation(muscle twitch) in bigger muscles, such as finger, forearm, biceps, legs, back. Then,if I still didn't take,I would even get muscle cramps! But this was quite rare. Don't be worried.Try to supplement with calcium and magnesium and it will all be fine.

Oktavist is correct that calcium and magnesium together are smooth muscle relaxants. It also helps some people sleep better, relieves leg cramps and helps with headaches. Also the person who mentioned water could be right. I take calcium and magnesium.

'Left eye jump wealth, the right eye jump disaster',which is a traditional Chinese saying. It has another name 'Eyelid tremor'.You may not worry,it's one thing that everyone will encounter.I think it maybe caused by lack of sleep. You just need have a rest and hot packs can ease symptoms.

I worked with someone who had this issue. We were in stressful jobs. Her doctor said it was fatigue, stress, and too much caffeine. She was very stressed and was put on anti anxiety medications. The twitching did stop. I quit the job, rather than be medicated so I could keep it. It still would be a good idea, if it persists, to talk to either an eye doctor or your regular doctor about it. Try getting more sleep, drinking more water and possibly taking some mineral supplements, but do not wait too long to see what works.

I've had this happen to me sometimes too. But I also use to wear glasses when I was younger to correct one of my eyes that would cross as I would bite into food. So I'm not sure if it's just my eyes being the source of the twitching or what. I noticed it happens a lot more to me if I'm really tired. If it keeps happening then I'd go to the eye doctor just to be safe.

If you've been looking online, chances are you've been looking for stuff online too much. I think it couldn't be anything else but stress. It happened to me a lot before too. If you stare at your screen too many hours a day and you wash your eyes with cold water, this is very bad for your eyes. If you work on your computer for long hours, you have to take short breaks and make sure you get enough rest at the end of the day.

Eyes... - Eyes reveal so much, they are incredibly sensitive to our emotions, state of mind, state of being. They can also be physically supersensitive too, and get tired, sore and so on. Eyes need looking after.
I think I've had that before, as well as other minor muscle spasm/twitching issues. In my experience, the twitches go very quickly. if they don't, it might be worth visiting your doctor. I'm not a medical man, but as I see it, it could be related to nervous tension, and a certain tiredness; also you might be suffering from mild eye strain; again though I'm no expert. But I don't think it's anything to worry about it...unless it persists.

For how many days your eyes are twitching? Twitching of eyes is usually physiological but it often may be due to calcium deficiency. I think you need not worry for it. But if it really annoys you, you should consult an ophthalmologist to see if there is any chronic irritation that may also be a cause behind it.

I've had this issue before a few times! I don't know what causes it but I think drinking water seems to help sometimes. Not right away of course but eventually it will stop. The inconvenience of this is no fun though! Quite annoying.
