My Computer is DYING!

Yupp, I don't see many months, maybe even weeks left for this poor thing. 4 years old, too. First the battery died about 2 years ago (FINALLY replaced that a few months ago) and then there started to be lines across the bottom of the screen just over a year ago...still have those and they have reached about 1/3 of the way up my screen. I can still see everything just fine it's just these thiiiin white lines. THEN the socket for my charger is sensitive and if I don't have it plugged in JUUUUUST right, it doesn't charge, and my computer DIES. When my computer IS plugged in properly I can hear it in my headphones. Yupp, a nice, loud buzzing sound comes on and if I don't have anything playing like music or youtube, it gives me a headache! Then finally (this is my most recent dilemma) the mouse pad stopped working. Yupp, my laptop's mouse thing will no longer move unless it WANTS to, and even then it goes all spaztastic not going ANYWHERE I tell it to. So I'm now using a cordless mouse, and to top it all off the clicker on said mouse in temperamental (but I got it free from a friend, so, I can't complain). Lucky for me the clickers on my laptop still work so...it's a trade off. lol Then there are the minor things like the A, C, S, D, E, N, and L keys have been worn down and you can't read the letters anymore, the right side of the space bar has a perfect little oval wear in it from my thumb, the K and V keys like to stick, the bottom left corner of my laptop has a piece of plastic chipped off, and there are sratches alllll over. Yupp....my computer has character. lol

It's a sign of aging tehehe and because it is "BER" month already, your computer is waving goodbye and wants you to buy a new one before leaving you =D

Patience, Daughter. Once Cooper is off to Afton and you find a job, you can start seriously saving up for a new computer...which, I would suggest, you buy locally so you can try it out before buying it.

Hi, Four years is a mighty long time for a laptop whose age is measured in months. The way a laptop works and do processes in nanoseconds, its age is equivalent to forty-eight years in human terms (12x4=48). It is already past its prime and is showing the pains of an aging body.

Wow, I think that's really old, but I'm not encouraging you to buy a new one if you can't afford it today, I guess you can still use the old computer. I also have a 5 year old desktop computer before and I gave it to my cousin so they can have their own personal computer. I'm using now a 2 year old laptop, a Toshiba Satellite... As for the battery, I use it seldom, only when I'm going to mall, they've say this will help your battery live long. :)

Your computer is definitely getting worn down, but I can't say my computer is new either. The keys that are rubbed off for me are: Z,X,C,B,and S. and there is this weird crater in my left arrow key. And to top it all off I had a fan error once. As long as it keeps working for you Its fine though. ^-^ Happy mylotting!

These are signs for you to start saving to buy a new one. I would suggest you to buy a desktop if you are going to use it at home only. The benefit you would get with the desktop is the price difference.

Hi Emmy, So if you don't want to buy a new one then you better give your laptop to servicing, they will clean up and they will sort out the problems you are experiencing with your laptop. I think this is not much expensive than buying newer one.
