I observed last week one mylotter's discussion was highest rated and two days after I got a notification this discussion is deleted due to this reason. I am not writing the reason here. But I want to know highest rated discussion or top in mylot digest discussions may be also deleted. If deleted then effect on rating or not.

If a discussion is a violation, then sooner or later, depending when admin gets to it, it will be delelted. Even the discussions on the Digest and the highest-rated discussions can fall into this category too. When a discussion is deleted all of the users who were part of it will lose earnings if they were already added to their account and they will lose one point from their user rating if they responded and 2 points from their user rating if they responded and commented on it.

My problem is solved and I got the answer of my query thanks a lot madam to explain in simple way. Since last week this question was in my mind and every day think about starting the discussion but not confirmed should start or not. Ohh both lost rating and money. Really feel bad the person whose discussion is deleted and it is in highest rated and on top list both.

I feel sorry for those who lost their responses and comments too. We should all take care when responding and not only when starting topics. The Guidelines are available for us all to read and we should be aware of them always.

sureka, any topic will be deleted if it is a violation. Some times we don't know it is a violated topic and place our reply to it due to the highest rating as well as it is displayed in the digest. We will regret a lot if we got the deletion notification, we must be very careful while replying to any topic in mylot. Surely this kind of deletion will affect our rating and reputation.

Vidhya the highest rated discussion can only be seen daily on the homepage. Those on the Digest are the 10 most active discussions, one for each of 10 interests that each user has added. The highest rated discussion is not always one of them.

You are right brother we respond because seeing in top list of highest rated. But not worry because no effect on our payment but the started loose all money which received on it. Ohhh therefore my rating is not increasing since last year only 91 or 90.

@ lamb, most of the times i find that my reputation goes low, if my topic was deleted here, i think mylotters will give - to this kind of topics and our reputation goes low due to it. msd, i know top rated topic is displayed in the home page, i thought that it also included in the digest. Thanks for letting this

I don't think it matters how highly rated the discussion is. If it is in violation then it will be removed. I know sometimes they do not get deleted right away, but they do. Read the guidelines, re-read and then read them again. I have to read them again as a refresher course. I love it here and do not want to put myself or anyone else in jeopardy.

Ohhh yes I read this new thing after starting my discussion even the discussion is highest rated but voilate the guideline means may be removed. Means no discussion is safe even on top list, highest rated, or in general.

I guess as long as we follow the guidelines we will be okay. I still believe that there will be discussions deleted along the way.

surekha: Please tell me only what was that discussion? -- are you referring to hatley aunty's discussion . Highest rated discussion is decided how -- only mylot knows -- because on some days when my disucssion was having more responses than the one selected. Selecting as highest rated discussion is not a guarantee for not deleting it. On deletion correspondingly earnings of that member and other members will change. that is part and parcel of the game. Surekha: Are you getting new friends request nowadays? I am getting a lot nowadays possibly because i am very busy here nowadays -- i get requests from people having--cat, horse, dog as avatars? interesting. I accept all of them immediately without any hesitation. good day.

I have total 157 friend request and all is pending because I am also busy in house hold chores, not feeling well and busy in mylot so not interested to check accept all. Yes uncle you are right I am discussing about Dadi ma's discussion. I not feel good lots of responses and comments and highest rated and then deleted. Why admin not check immediately after posting.

SUREKHA: in tamil we have a phrase " If you find fault you will not have relatives". applying this logic we are relatives in mylot - admin, members--senior, junior, newcomers. let us try to adjust with each other and accept people as they are. I know it is difficult to manage household chores-- I do only vessel cleaning and that it self takes nearly 40/45 minutes per day. Of course playing with grand son one hour or more. Amidst this doing mylot you may find it difficult. I think you require one accept button for all friend request. for me right not no pending request. may request to others pending two.

Ohhh friend riya really you not know where is show highest rated discussion means your observation is very weak. Dear its shows on homepage and I check every day which discussion is highest rated. But when my discussion was highest rated I forget to see it but here Ravi sir gives me congrats on a discussion's comment and say your discussion is highest rated then I checked it. First time I forget this. Diana madam your profile photo is very nice question mark means in your mind every time lots of answers on every question and lots of questions are also there. Just saying on imagination. You are right I think everyone knows about highest rated discussion other than few exceptional mylotters.

Hi Surek! As far as I know and remember, as long as the discussion has violated mylot rules and guidelines, it is no question that the discussion will be deleted including the comments and responses. Deletion of discussions don't depend on the rating or the quantity of comments. It will depend on the violation. I have been out in the mylot circle for a long while and I am not sure if the same rules still subsist at present. But, I think the rules have not changed. Regarding the rating, I think there is also a certain effect.

I discussion is deleted only when someone complaints to admin about the contents of the email. Sometimes this takes a few days. By then there are already quite a lot of responses due to which it becomes the highest rated discussion.

hisureikharathi yes indeed any discussion even in the top or hot can be deleted if its broken a mylot rule, Nobody is above mylot rules, the laws are h eter for all of us and really we should the dos and do nots of the guidelines so we know what not to do as if webreak rules we hurt others besides ourselves too.we lose earnings and rating drops a little too.

It will not affect your rating, your rating stay as it is no matter your top discussion facing deletion or remain in Mylot. But your earning will be reduced and the amount you earned in that particular discussion will also deleted by the software. It is quite sad seeing your balance going down after it is deleted.

It is my experience that the highest rated discussions are based simply on the + and - that people give to the discussion. However, just because the majority of mylotters give + to a discussion does not mean that there are no violations that the discussion has committed. You know, it could be that a discussion that is very high rated could be a very commonly repeated discussion and if that is the case, the discussion is eventually going to be deleted for the duplicate discussion violation.
