How Good Are Your Cell Phone Camera Pictures?

These days it seems that every cell phone comes equipped with some type of camera and/or video capability.
Recently, I've been thinking about buying a tablet or cell phone with photographic features. I want to be able to capture excellent quality images without carrying a professional camera system around town.
It seem that most of the Mylotters in this section are using really good cell phone cameras for their posts.
I would enjoy hearing about your choices for camera/cell phone/ tablet combos and I would also like to see an image that you created with the equipment you used.
Thanks for your help!

Samsung galaxy s2 and s3 have great cameras. iPhone 4s and 5 also have great cameras as well. I have tested all of them and are very satisfied with their camera. Taking pictures is my hobby and i like posting them on instagram. I have posted some of it here on mylot too and they look like they were taken by a dslr camera. Though i have a dslr cam, i use my phone camera more often because i carry it everywhere.

Thanks for your response!
I, too, am impressed with the Samsung Galaxy series phone cameras. Although they are a bit out of my range, I certainly wouldn't mind owning one.

Thanks for posting this discussion. Well nowadays its such a common view to find people using their cell phones as cameras and in a way this is also very good as it helps save money by getting a good camera and we can do dual work using a cell phone. The camera that my cell phone has is a bit hazy but gets good snaps only during the day time and that is why i have a Sony camera.
What say?

I have a Motorola Atrix 4G and it actually takes really good pictures. The quality of the picture does start to deteriorate slightly the more you zoom in on a subject, the flash works well and it also comes with several settings for different types of pictures, such as sunsets, subjects that are moving, landscapes, etc. I also love the fact that whenever I take pictures with it I can send them instantly to another person via a text message or upload them straight to my Facebook account.
I love photography but there are definitely times when my Nikon is just too bulky to be carrying around with me everywhere and since I always have my cell on me, it's far more convenient. I've attached a picture here that I took with my phone just the other day.

I don't have a cell phone. I have a landline. But if I did have a cell phone it would have all the bells and whistles and have good pictures. I can't see having a cell phone without having all the stuff you can get with one. When and if i ever do get one it will be great!
