Here's the news bit: http://ph.omg.yahoo.com/news/lea-salonga-thanks-anne-hathaway-vogue-interview-mention-073731469.html Yes, our very own Lea Salonga extends her gratitude to Anne Hathaway, for giving her credit to a superb singing of Les Misarables songs, in a Vogue interview. Rumor has it that Anne says Lea's rendition of On My Own is the best version there could ever be. Am ultra excited when Les Miserbles comes to town this December. This story is the only novel I ever read that made me cry, page after page. And the musical score of this drama tops all the others. Keep Les Miserables on your must=see list, guaranteed touching, especially when you already feel the beating of the heart echoing the beating of the drums....

Kudos to Lea for a very good rendition and to Anne as well for having great taste in music and the artist. Watched Les Miserables in YouTube and in the movie starred by Liam Neeson. I love the storyline but the ending has a sad note to it. Overall, this is something worth watching be it in DVD or theater.

Les Miserables is one of my all time favorite novel... and when i saw the trailer... i was so excited... Anne Hathaway is like the perfect Fantine... or even perfect Eponine... i love her voice or i simply love her and for her to be in this movie is like the perfect treat... I can't wait to watch this movie musical... i just hope they did not change a lot of the plot... or else that would be such a huge disappointment...

Les Miserables must be the handbook of every citizen of any country, aside, of course, from To Kill A Mockingbird. Filipinos relate with Les Mis because of what we had gone through in the dark years of Martial Lsw, but of course, anyone, any citizen, who wants to live with freedom, and for those who suffer from oppression, yearns for this basic human need... to be free.

I just got to watch it on DVD yesterday. I didn't expect Anne's role would only be at the first part, but she played it so well. She didn't look very beautiful there, but she was amazingly good. Did all those big stars really sing their lines? I know Russell did plays before, but I don't know about Hugh and Anne.

Movie release, according to my daughter, is on Christmas Day. Yey, finally, I can go to the theater on 25 December. I wish they'd confine the Manila Filmfest in the City of Manila.

Oh really? Wow, that is so cool! And how nice of Anne to mention and credit Lea that way. I, too, am eagerly awaiting the release of the film Les Miserables in theaters. I have not read the actual novel. But I have listened to the songs of the broadway musical since I was a kid. They came in cassettes then, complete with lyrics and background stories behind the songs. Like you, it brought out so much emotion in me. Prepare to bring a box of tissues when you go inside the movie house!
