How do I save energy this winter. I had a huge summer bill of course since air conditioning. I am trying to save some pennies this winter. What are some good ideas? I don't want to freeze but I need advice. I already stop using the dryer since the dry heat from the pipes dry them up fast. So that is lucky and helping. What are things you have done? Happy myLotting!

I would first check with your power company and see if they have a energy saving program. Usually what they do is average out what you spend monthly and then that is what you pay monthly on the program. The next thing I would do is go around to all the doors and windows and see if cold air coming through. You can put plastic over the windows to keep out the cold air. And for the doors put a rug, blanket, old clothes or whatever at the bottom of the door to keep the cold air out. If the air conditioner is still in the window I would make sure no cold air is coming through there. Set your thermastat at about 58-62 and leave it there. Some people turn off or atleast down their heaters when they go to bed. I don't. I don't use individual room heaters at all. Happy holidays!

I personally do not know how in the winter to save some money. I personally even now trying to keep clean and you know what I'm going with three pairs of pants all week just change them every day not to go with them but during the day so my colleagues think that every day I am with different clothes and I just be careful not to stain well with 3 or 4 shirts for the whole week for five days arrive. The other thing is do not cook every day for my mother in law also cook and it saves me a lot of time and money. do not let anything in the kitchen just for saving me. I hope this help you a little. Nowadays it is very difficult with this money but no sister should be able to live. nice day and I hope to manage to save some money.
