Maybe that is not such a big news anymore, but you can truly feel the power of social media site like facebook. A girl sent out an invitation to her friends to participate her birthday party at a small town in Holland, but she only forgot to mention that is a private party. Such invitation was re - sent by her friends to other people, one by one. On the day of her birthday, over 5 thousand people flood to this small town in Holland. Local police has to stop these teenagers who also brought their own beers, such confront eventually caused chaos between police forces and the uninvited guests. If you still remember this movie called "Project X", that is called epic party.

Did this really happen? It seems like something from one of those teen movies.

Is this for real? Oh my, five thousand people is a lot. You really should be careful in sending invitations through facebook, it is really a powerful tool. When me and my husband got married, we invited our guests by sending phone messages, through personal visits, e-mails and phone calls. People didn't respond immediately so we have to follow up several times if they will be able to make it to our wedding or not, it really took time and effort. But earlier this year, we send invitations through facebook only for our son's birthday and wow people responded really quick, it's way easier to track the number of guests we are expecting.

Yes, I also heard that this really happened. I think there are some important things that can be learned from this event. 1st, never post invitations through facebook, posts are addressed to everybody on facebook. 2nd, be specific with invitations, and, as much as possible, send it through a private message. And 3rd, always expect for the worst turn of events and be prepared for it.
