I really wanna know if there's any penalty if someone caught for vandalism here in the Philippines? That so called Republic Act or anything that was stated in law. I was really pissed off when I woke up this morning looking my flower pot vandalized by a fuc_ing idiot!

I am not able to guarantee my answer because I live in England and we all have different judicial and penal systems. However, I would automatically assume that there has to a law governing vandalism in every country otherwise such malicious damage would become far more prolific than it currently is. Sadly, the penalty is rarely much satisfaction for anyone who has had property vandalised. A court would consider damaging a flowerpot a very minor issue and of little consequence, whereas it can actually be quite distressing for the person who possesses it.

Well it can be very minor case but I want to teach him a lesson that what he has done is a big mistake. Though, what I just need for now is for him to erase of what he had done. Well, it also depends in his answers of why he vandalized my pot. If he seems arrogant then I would seek penalties for him as what is stated in Philippine law.

I think this could be a crime against property. Vandalism falls under this crime and in your case, I think that it is just a misdemeanor. But really, those people being caught vandalizing should be given countless hours of community service such as cleaning up walls that have been vandalized so that they may realize the repercussion of their actions.

Maybe it is misdemeanor but having my stuff vandalized is a big NO-NO! If I'm gonna tolerate his actions for now maybe he will do more in the future! I want my stuff back in its original beauty. I really felt bad.

In the Philippines, vandalism is punishable by law provided for in Republic Act 9072. It's a serious crime destroying nature of sorts like natural caves, DENR protected area, archives and the like.

I think this republic act is exclusive only for cave stuff or any natural resources that has been vandalized by anyone. I need laws which is more specific of what I need. Thanks anyway. But if you have any idea feel free to share.

In some countries, they do have penalties for Vandalism most especially when someone makes vandals on Government establishments. But for some cases, penalties are only minor and are billable.
