A memo has already been routed in our office. It’s official Holiday on November 30, since it’s Bonifacio Day. Some of the employees has been suggesting that it be moved to Saturday instead, since we still have work on Saturday. However, I suggested that it will be as it is already, because those who would like to elongate their vacation, can just file a leave of absence on Saturday. So there, if we like we can have a 3 day vacation starting on Friday , Nov. 30 to Sunday , Dec. 2. I am already making my plans for these days.

Good thing that my work does not have Saturday work for me so I definitely will enjoy a long weekend this Friday. We already had plans of watching the Rama Hari Play at CCP at night since I got a free ticket so we just try to see this play that day. For the rest of the weekend I think most will be devoted to home and groceries and the regular weekend chores.

Yeah I hope I would enjoy it since I am not really fond of watching musical plays. But I know my wife would since she likes this kind of plays especially the artist who will perform in the play. But I think seeing her happy would be fine with me of course.

You are lucky my friend that you don't have Saturday work. At least, with the holiday on Friday, the vacation will be continuous. Enjoy watching Rama Hari. Karylle is one of my favorite celebrities.

I believe a lot of working people and students are already excited about this holiday, which many term as "long weekend". I have no plans about it yet but I am just glad that I get a day off from school, especially since this semester I have classes everyday, from Monday to Saturday. I think I will be doing some unfinished house choirs on that day or maybe spend more time here in mylot, since I have not been able to do so this passed months. Anyway, I hope everybody here benefits from this holiday and put this day off in to good use. Happy long weekend to us!

So, have you already planned and decided what to do during the holiday? I bet you'll be spending some of that time here as well, right?

Yes, even the students will benefit from this long weekend. If they will be having an exam for the next week, they can have more time to review. Indeed, you can also choose to go mylotting on that day. That way you will be rested but earning and enjoying.

It is wonderful that on October 30 there is an official holiday from your work due to it being Bonifacio Day. It is great that it happens to be a Friday meaning you also have Saturday and Sunday off work. I hope that you are having a fantastic weekend. I like there being a half term followed by an inset day at the school my disabled son goes to. Then it makes a superb time for a vacation especially if it is the May half term going into the beginning of June.

Well, that's how it is to be a mom specially to more than one kid. However, no matter how tiring they are, you feel happy that they are happy too. Though sometimes they really try your patience. Happy long weekend, jenny.

Well, holidays are like that. They are meant to give us time to relax and be with our family. But we always have to go back to our works, lest we will be declared on AWOL after that.

I went to my parents house and bonded with them and my sisters , nieces and nephews. I also get to eat foods that i long to eat there. I brought home with me some pieces of big Indian mangoes.

After we go to work , it is so happy and charming to have our holiday. And now you must be considering how to spend your holiday. About one and a half years, I will have my winter holiday, great!

Yes, Nov. 30 is a regular holiday here in the Philippines. Unfortunately, we are required to work for this day even if it is a holiday. Our company is an operations company meaning we still need to go to work because the services we offer is continuous even if it is holiday. But, the good thing is, I will be paid double of my basic pay that day. It is a very good earning anyway.

Well, your job is of the same nature as my husband who is in a courier company, LBC. Him being the team leader of the branches he handles, always go to work, even if it's his day off because it is double pay for him. And so are the holidays. So, this Nov. 30, both of you got double pay.

I don't have work so i am only a little bit affected by this good news... but i still like it because it means no school for my daughter so i don't have to wake up early to prepare her lunch... i remember the time when i was ecstatic every time an official holiday is coming up... hopefully by next year... i will feel the same way again...

Hmm, it seems that you are on a sabbatical now, because you are hoping that next year you will feel as ecstatic as you were when you were employed, whenever there's a holiday. Yeah, for those mothers who have children to attend to their children's needs for school, it will be indeed a welcome treat for them.

A holiday declaration is always a good news of most employees. Well this is an extra day for rest and relaxation or for any thing they can do for themselves. I myself love holidays a lot. Although I have already retired, my husband and my son are still working so when it is holiday this means they have no work and we have time to go somewhere else. When I was still working any holiday declared really brings cheers to my heart. Just like you I also had 6 working days so I only had one day off. This is the reason why whenever there are holidays I really would do just about anything to make the holiday a real fun for me and my family. This Friday we are set to visit the Ayala Triangle and then we would shop and dine. I am sure this would be fun although quite tiring. So I hope we all enjoy our long weekend.

Yes, this holiday gives us a day of enjoying the company of our family members like you and your husband and now working son. It's another bonding day indeed. However, in our family, our only daughter, now a 22 year old, studying in Manila for Medicine only comes home on summers and on Christmas breaks. Hence , on this holiday, my husband who has a 7 day work will not be around to enjoy it with me. But still, i welcome each holiday because i will get to do some things that are to be done yet. Or i can opt to go to my parents' house.

Actually for those who are in the operations, they are required to have a skeletal force on Saturday. I think, i would be going back to work on Saturday, because i am reserving my one day paid leave left, to a more important one.

Good for you because with the work I have, we have no holidays. We operate 24 hours, 7 days a week. But the good thing is that I will be receiving an extra 100% for the work day that I'll be rendering on Nov. 30!

A long weekend can indeed be a nice opportunity to be out of town. However, that will be nice if you have enough budget for it. If not, just staying at home, and having fun with family can already make one happy.
