Today I took the first step towards my goal. I am going on Thursday for a tour of the cosmetology school that I am planning on going to. I start my classes next month. =) I am super excited and cannot wait to start on my new career choice. I don't care what my family will say, I have to try. I feel inside like I can do this. Wish me luck!

I am very proud for you Loving. It may be difficult at times with family dynamics changing because you are studying more. You will have to be a bit selfish for your own goals to make it, because it can get really upsetting when family shows signs if resentment when you go after something you want for your life. You can do it, and I hope your family will be and stay supportive of you.

Thank you. I know my immediate family like my husband will be supportive and the rest of my family can just get over it! Lol. Your right this is my dream, not theirs and my life not theirs. Thank you PQ!

You are very welcomed. My daughter's half sister is a lawyer. Her father (my ex) talked about how his daughter 'thinks she's better than everyone else because she got a law degree'. The girl had to out her dream first even though she no longer talks with her father. She is married and has two children and the father and mother have not seen their grand children or their daughter in years. They resent her for doing something with her life.

take cosmetology classes so now you are really going to do it. I am glad
you are doing this for yourself.You should really do w e ll in this from
what you have told us. The world always needs good cosmetologists for
we women and I guess some men pop in too.

Thanks! =) I went for the tour today, filled out financial aid paperwork and the school's application today. It went awesome and I am more excited than ever to start!

It is great that you are taking this step!
Your family should be supportive of your decision to pursue this training. It will enable you to add to your family's finances, and I think that you will be much happier and feel more fulfilled having something like this for yourself.

Thank you! Yeah well their not, the only one supportive is my husband. I am so grateful for him! =) I think it will definitely make me feel better being able to better our childrens future. I went for the school tour today and I am more excited than ever!

yes, new is good and so with change. You can do it. You are old enough to decide on your LOL. and somehow your family will appreciate if you will be able to gain the skills you dream of.

Wow that is really exciting. I know that you had wrote something about loving to do others makeup and getting a job along those lines. I didnt realize you were going to school for it so soon that is really awesome. I hope that you do great and you love it!

Aw that is exciting news that you are moving towards your next step. I wanted to take my next step next month, but right now I had to put it on hold. Now I wish I didn't and couldn't so that I can get to my next step in starting a career. Hopefully something works out for me soon. But anyway, congrats on that next step and good luck.

Seems you're in a good mood now I can feel your excitement, I remember you saying you're more of a negative thinker but this one's so positive I'm happy for you :)
Yes you really have to try things that make you happy, but why do you say you don't care what your family thinks? Are they not supportive of your dreams? I know from your other discussions that you have a supportive husband, I'm not sure with the other family members though.

I am in a good mood ever since I got off the phone with her! Well I am only negative when bad things happen... When things are good I am positive. =) Lol.
Well, my husband is very supportive but not the rest of my family. Like parents and such. But its not their life, its mine.
