Last night was not fun. I had had Tony pick up the kids so he could take Dearra to her physical therapy apppintment. They did not hear that I said he would get them at the teen center, so they were waiting at school. We sorted that one out, and he took the twins home and Dearra to pt. I left work, realized I had forgotten my phone, and went back. By then Dearra had texted me pt is over and where is Tony? He was in the parking lot waiting. It was just very dark. To make up for the confusion, I ordered pizza. We took Tony's car. Coming back we were more than half was through an intersection when the girl coming toward us just went and turned left intp us. Nobody hurt, but not a fun end to the day.
At least she admitred it was her fault and her dad is going to pay. Tony was a ewal gentleman to her (she was crying and very sorry). But naturally he's bummed that his nice car is messed up.

You had enough mess ups to last you all the way to the New Year easily. I am glad that no one was hurt, but poor car.

Oh my...sounds like you guys had the day from hll! Isn't that the way it goes always though? It does for me anyway. It's never just one thing...it's usually a string of stuff and when you least have the time for it. I'm sorry you all had such a bad day but I am glad that no one got hurt when that girl ran into you! Oh and by the way, have to add...Tony sounds like a real sweet man. I hope he is. You deserve that after all you've been through!!

I like the title of your discussion. Sorry you had a sucky day and glad that you all are ok. Things can get confusing on who is to be where and when and who's going to pick the kids up, etc. I've not had a day like that in a very long time.

He sounds ot be such a lovely man - kind and considerate and great of him to collect the children too. Accidents are so stressful and he took it really well. I do hope that he will not be out of a car for long whilst it s being worked on. I hate being wothout a vehicle to drive. I am just so happy that none of yhou were hurt as it could have ended in an ugly manner

He's great. Helps with the yard and the house and so on.
I feel bad about his car, but at least it was only the car. :-(

Yup. There was a long ago accident, little sister of my sister's boyfriend. She had just gotten her license, and this guy crashed into her. He stopped and tried to convince her that it was her fault. Fortunately a woman had seen it all and came back to support her otherwise it would have been her word against his.

Oh wow, glad no one was hurt. I saw a similar accident the other day coming home from the doctor's office, except it was an older man who hit an older woman. Both were fine, but both cars had some damage.

That sounds like quite the day. I'm glad that no one was hurt in the accident.
I think that is definitely one of those days when ordering a pizza is definitely the way to go...

My car is fully insured if you want to borrow it and have me receive a check back
Was the car written off or just dinged a bit?

Neither. Not written off, but more than just a few little dings.

Well, no doubt, we can say luckily that did not happen anything serious, but certainly not the best way to end a day!
And you actually have it emphasized towards the end of your discussion.
What you wrote at the beginning, to be honest, I did not understand very well.
But as I said from the "almost" accident was a very important thing that there were no serious consequences.
I recommend it, especially driving, always be very, very careful!

Hi friend, so you had fun with this incident, as you mentioned there is no hurt to anyone, that's good as well as the girl admitted her fault and her dad is ready to pay, so there is not loss for your side. Hope this kind of incidents don't happen again

I am glad that the pizza was still hot when you reached home. (can joke now since I have learned that nobody was hurt except the girl's father's pocket. This happens, sometimes even if you are too careful enough there will be some people who can not just be as careful as you are. GRRRRrr ....
Glad you are all okay.

oh wo dawn what an ending to an up setting evening. I am glad nobody was hurt and that the girl admitted it was her fault. It could have ended much worse.
I know its horrid for the waiting kids not to know where the person is to pick them up. Sometimes intersections can be dangerous. My friend Nelda and I were on our way to a grocery store and were stopped by a red light at an intersection One of the cars turning left was a huge SuV and just as she was turning a young man on a bicycle was coming on a pedestrian light. So SuV hit the boy's bicycle and as we watched in horror tossed him up in the air but he got up from the fall,
walked to the side walk and then collapsed. There was an ambulance there when we came back. They were loading the unconscious boy into an ambulance. We never did how how he fared of course.

Oh no, it really does stink that his nice car has been messed up as a result of getting hit. In addition to that, even though at this point in time it seems that no one has been hurt, don't allow him to settle the claim too soon because it can take several days for soft tissue injuries to show up after an accident, especially in children.
When Kathryn, Paul and I were in the accident during the summer, she got really sore after three days and ended up having to have physical therapy for over two months as a result of the accident.
I do hope, however, that no one starts to get sore as a result of being in the accident that you were all involved in.
