I was stop by a police

Today after work, while I was on my way home, I saw the blue light turning on the side of my eye; then I look at the rear - view mirror, I saw the police car was tailing behind me. Oh my God, what did I do this time? Then I found a church, and turn in there park my car on the side. The police officer step out of the car, and walk up to my car. He stated that the brake light was out, and I should notice it. I said, "sorry officer, I just had an accident a couple of months ago, and I really don't know the brake light was out." Then he asked for my driver's license, and luckily, this officer was friendly enough, he simply gave me a verbal warning, and told me to get it done as soon as possible. When I got home, I stop by the Auto Zone store to get a pack of brake light, and I change it myself. So my advice to everyone here who drive, check your car regularly, either done by yourself, or done by the mechanic guy.

I'm really glad you had a nice officer and you just got a warning. Here police are not nice like that at all. Here you would have gotten a ticket without a doubt. So you got lucky! :)

They shouldn't give anyone a ticket like that, It wasn't like we are intentionally have a busted brake light bulb in our cars, we just don't know when it was gone out. So, a verbal warning should be enough, and I definitely change it afterward.

It must be very scary to be driving along and you see blue lights flashing. You must have felt very frightened indeed wondering what you had done wrong. It was lucky you just had a verbal warning for not having your brake light working. My mom was driving along the New Bristol Road and noticed loads of police by the side of the road. She noticed they were pulling over some of the drivers. My mom was so happy not to be asked to stop. She worried about one of her car's tires. The next day she was off to our local garage. Yes, I agree check the car regularly.

I see this all the time, people being pulled over for little things, then it being something more. This is something I probably wouldn't even notice on my car unless someone pointed it out. It also depends on the officer, luckily you got a nice cop. This reminds me when I worked midnights I was going to work, this car was tailing me, then the lights come on and I go ah crap. He pulled me over and told my my stickers on my plates were technically expired it was mid July and my birthday is July 31. But it depends on the officer some it's the 1st of the month you have to have the sticker, others it's by your birthday (I am sure it can be faught in court). Another time, I was going home, and I only had so many hours of sleep before my other two jobs in a row, so this guy kept scurving and slamming on his breaks, I go around him and of course the cop is doing radar, he pulled me over. Let me go with a warning, seeing as I was so tired, and wearing my work unfirom. I told him I really don;t care about a ticket, but if he could write it fast because I had to have 2 hours of sleep before my other two jobs, then two hours of sleep before my other job.

Its not a good scene when you see these guys behind your vehicle and suddenly you start thinking about tickets. I will say you are lucky that you encountered such a polite policeman that had only given you warning otherwise mostly policemen just enjoys giving tickets to the drivers
