I have some very old discussions dating years back and no longer wish to have them on here, Is there a way to delete my own discussions?

I am sorry, barbiegirl, but Mylot doesn't allow us to delete our old discussions. And I think one purpose of this is that it was worth keeping and that other Mylot members would still be able to read them and learn something new and useful from it. Coz if it was a discussion of real poor quality, Mylot would have deleted it right after you have posted it.

Thanks, I used the (!) button to report myself. How weird is that?

Thanks, allknowing! I really wasn't aware that i could have my previous discussion deleted using the (!) button, but i have used the same button when I have accidentally posted a response twice.

Only admin can delete discussions. We can request them to delete own discussion by using the [!] reporting button stating the reasons. It will be up to admin to delete or not.

If she ask admin to delete her old discussion and her discussion remove, that not affect other people earning who is responses in her discussion?

The discussion I want removed is years old so they would have already earned from it.

Yes, it will affect anyone else that has participated in the discussion... a deleted discussion is a deleted discussion whether it is deleted after one day or one year.

Unfortunately, it is irrelevant if you don't wish them to be on the site anymore... once you post them, you have granted myLot an "infinite life limited license" to use the content. That is outlined in the Terms that we all agree to when we join and use this website, in the section entitled "Proprietary Rights in Content on myLot." It is at myLot's sole discretion if posted content stays or goes. If the discussion violates no guidelines and is simply "old," there is really no reason for them to delete it and they may decide not to, even if it's requested. Other users can respond to old discussions at any time, if they want. Similarly, guideline violations in years-old discussions, just as in new discussions, can still be reported and myLot can review them and decide whether or not to delete.
