Hi ksktika, I love coconut sugar as well It's sugar with sweet and unique aroma. Here we have famous coconut sugar from one of a states This dark brown solid sugar is packed in dry palm leaves. I always keep some in the fridge for preparing desserts. Tourists like to get some as gifts while visiting the tourist attractions there. I also believe it's healthy and good for us. Further more it tastes heavenly compared to the ordinary sugar Happy posting

Sounds yummy to me, coconut itself has a lot of nutritional qualities, although it is high in calories so if you are watching your weight or on certain diets, coconut would be out of the question. It does have health benefits, I guess you have to weigh up the pros and cons about taking it, do you put taste over calories as a priority? But like anything, everything in moderation, if you enjoy it, why not, but too much of it well...

i loved and consumed this sugar since i was kid. To consume diet food, i never thought about taste, sometime they are taste bad but good benefit. but this one good taste and good benefit. i always surprise with sugar consumption in this country, that's why in this time i would like to introduce more coconut sugar as a sugar substitute. And like you said, everything with coconut always yummy and taste good. have you ever try this sugar ?

I heard of it but haven't tried it yet. Is it cheaper than ordinary white sugar? Is it available in the market nationwide? For the health conscious consumers like me i would definitely use it.

You can really do a lot of stuff and utilize the coconut in a lot of different ways. I haven't heard of the coconut sugar but since it is "the coconut" it does sound so healthy. Me and my family have stayed purposely away from refined sugar, we just use the brown, organic ones.

I haven’t tried such sugar, since coconuts over my city has been manufactured for other purposes most especially coconut lumber and coconut oil. However, I do love consuming organic goods such as organic sugar-cane brown sugar. It’s more healthy and also has beneficial effects in our system. I also love muscuvado sugar it’s a raw sugar in my place wherein the sugar is dark brown and still in it’s raw form where natural vitamins are all in stack compared to refined white sugar.

I haven't used sugar in years. I use xylitol. It's a naturally occurring sweetener in plants. It looks and tastes like sugar. It's used in some toothpastes because it keeps bacteria from sticking to your teeth. It's also in some sugar-free chewing gums. Here's a link www.xylitol.org/questions-about-xylitol It's manufactured as xyla. As for coconut sugar I never heard of it til yesterday when I went shopping. It was on the shelf next to the xylitol. I looked at it and thought about buying it but I don't want my tea to taste like coconut. I'm assuming it has a coconut flavor. I might try it in the future. I know coconut oil is very good for you and it has a lot of health benefits.

It's only now that I've learned this coconut sugar. I love to drink coconut juice and will definitely try coconut sugar if ever available in our local supermarket. Thanks for the information.
