How Do You Train Your Body to Handle Sugar (Fighting Diabetes)?

Because that's how diabetes works, right? You don't 'catch it,' your body 'develops the diabetic condition' in which you cannot convert sugar, right? The answer--like the answer to most bad health--lies in your diet. I think it has something to do with cinnamon. But that's as specific as I've got it. Who is a dietician that can help here?

myhth diabetes two yes in a way as if you let yourself gain a lot of weeight specially around the middle the fat cells start to impede the insulin on its job of ushering the sugar into the muscles where its needed and instead it dumps the sugar in your blood where its really not needed and this weight gain is in the mid forties to mid fities and if people would not let themselves gain that weight they would avoid getting diabetes. If I had known then what I know now I could have avoided diabetes too.

We also need to eat something sweet, you know. We just have to be careful it's not in excess. I have not been diagnosed to have diabetes but I probably may have it mildly. I get sweet cravings a lot when I'm feeling so depressed. It's hard to curb that tendency but I am trying. The biggest lesson for me to cut back on sweets was because I have candidiasis, which means anything in excess of sweets will easily show up as acne breakouts on my face.

You need some common sense, not a dietitian! Everybody knows that smoking causes cancer so they quit smoking. So quit sugar! Its that easy! I did it for three weeks many years ago and it changed my life and I am not diabetic (and never was). After that 3 weeks I never used sugar on my grapefruit or in my coffee,( I never drank another can of pop either.) because My taste buds had grown accustomed to the natural sugar that all healthy food contains. Its so simple and so effective there is no reason for anyone to crave sugar!( or drink another can of pop, Dietetic pop is even worse!)

I found out i was diabetic about 3 years ago...was on insulin, and prescription meds for it. I started going to a nutritional center. and i am off all meds. 1.) Eat nothing with sugar in it.....Natural or other...No Fruit, or grains.... 2.) Drink water, or herbal tea 3.) plenty of exersize.. I do a lot of walking, and dancing 4. ) learn to control stress. This is not only good for diabetes, But will also help with blood pressure, cholesterol, and a number of other ailments. I have also added organic cinnamon to my diet..I just sprinkle it in my tea I am not a dietitian.. But these things have helped me get my health back and at 57 I am no longer on any prescription meds at all.

To fight diabetes one should eat vegetables like bittergourd and other vegetables. Don't eat foods with much sugar. It is difficult to have diabetes. My mother has it and has maintenance medications and diet too.

I'm not a dietician but i'm surely diabetic before my numbers are double from the limit the body should intake my endocrinology prescribe to lessen the intake of foods high in carbohydrates, sugar and should always be balance with water. Drink water often time to balance the fluid inside our body always eat food that is less in sugar or eat to taste for food with high sugar content. Search in net there do's and don't for diabetic such as we are not allowed to eat so much with banana and mangoes and any dry fruits what's good for us are papaya, guava.. ;)

Lifestyle changes could welcome relief in diabetic conditions. A sedentary lifestyle would only aggravate the condition while a close watch on your specific diet requirements could equip you to live a normal healthy even with the onset of the disease. Cinnamon is of good help in reducing blood sugar levels.

I'll see if I can find something interesting about ayurvedic medicine at http://search.mylot.com/search.aspx?t=web&k=ayurvedic+medicine?ref=mythociate Most-important, that "Safety concerns have been raised about Ayurveda, with two U.S. studies finding about 20 percent of Ayurvedic Indian-manufactured patent medicines contained toxic levels of heavy metals such as lead, mercury and arsenic. Other concerns include the use of herbs containing toxic compounds and the lack of quality control in Ayurvedic facilities." Is it worth the danger?

You can't get rid of diabetes, but you can eat the right foods so you don't have to do get a worse form of it. If you decide to eat right when you first find out you have it, you may be able to avoid using insulin if you eat correctly. I know this because I lot of my family has been diabetic.

How warm? I've got a big jug of water on my bathroom sink, which I drink from after I use the restroom; is room-temperature warm enough?
