For some it might be too much of a cliche doing but yesterday while i was out i passed some flower shops and i saw men picking up bouquets they ordered probably for their girlfriend, crushes, or wives! It is very nice actually that there are still men wanting to do such effort. I even saw one guy, he was dressed in a police uniform and from the look of him he is around in his 50's and was buying the bouquet for his wife. It is really to know that there is still love somehow floating around... but i hope you get to see this more often and not just on valentine's day but quite honestly the bouquets were THAT expensive! twice the normal price.

flower and bouquet shops can be seen so busy and crowded every year on valentine's day..and the rates are twice to thrice than usual days.here, most of the buyers are youngsters..hubby also brings red roses for me..:) but this year he was out of city, he is coming back today and he told me that he has a gift for me :D

Hello there ! So impressive and admirable to see a man buying and carrying bouquet of flowers. I looked at them as a real man ! Some men are ashamed of carrying a flower , but this man having a flower in their hands won my respect ! You can really tell that these men have also great respect and love to the lady of their life. This is so impressive for women are given that affection and importance which they really deserved.

Hi jazel I had couriered my love a pack of chocos two days back on 12th expecting that the pack would reach her on 14th for sure. But a few minutes back when I called to ask if they had it delivered, she has said NO... And by now, I am sure all that chocos would have melted out

That's so sweet... I really salute those guy who are not ashamed to buy flowers for their love ones because not all man has that courage to do it , they have different reasons why they didn't buy flowers..some said that their partners want something different and not flowers..( I don't think so.. girls love flowers!)there are also saying that, they used not to do it and they rather asked their partners for a dinner date rather than flowers.. ( flowers is still different with that dinner date!) well I want to respect their opinions but I am girl, I know what the girls want. But anyway, it doesn't matter, love cannot be measured by those flowers and date. Love Love Love everyone!

true love is not measured by the things we give the person we love. I am not a flower person actually but after 12 years with hubby, this is the first time he gave me a flower lol.. so that was really appreciated.

My husband never buys me flowers!!! It's been that way ever since we got together, even back when we were dating. He was not just into that kind of gesture. He would rather "spoil" me with other stuff that he thinks I can actually use like gadgets, a car!!! and he's a good provider. I don't take this the bad way against my husband anyway, but I do like to tease about me being the only married woman that's going home without any flowers, haha!

lol now i envy you, my husband could still not give me a car or those with that kind of value. So somehow still be lucky about it, not every husband can give you a car too. He is just being practical.

Raine, you are so lucky having a practical husband. Although, i can understand the feeling of being left out amongst those married ones who receives flowers on Valentine's Day. Here in our office, nobody from the married ones got flowers from their husband. And today, i discovered that some of them, didn't even go out for a dinner date with their husband. Actually, one of them quarelled with their husband last night. So, consider ourselves lucky for having practical men.

I saw a lot of that too, and it made me smile. It is nice to see people enjoying a holiday and to think of the happy couples. I didn't receive any flowers but we don't often buy flowers and my husband made me a nice dinner instead.

It show a caring side when you see someone buying flowers. It brightens the day somewhat. When a man is buying flowers, there is sentiment and emotion and tenderness that they might be trying to hide otherwise.

I received a bouquet of white and red roses from my husband yesterday, not because it is Valentine's Day but because it was his payday What I appreciate about it is that he was the one who made the flower arrangement and I love it. Well, I must really say that it is very nice to see men buying flowers for their loved ones, in fact, I love seeing people walking in malls holding flowers and just by looking in their face, they look so happy and inlove. I really hope to see that more often and not just during Valentine's Day.

Love was really all around yesterday. Since I had an unexpected invitation for a lunch at SM Dasmarinas, I appreciated the long lines of men including students at the shops selling flowers, stuffed toys and chocolates. I would have loved receiving a bouquet of flowers but instead I received perfume and some makeup. Some men can be sweet and thoughtful enough to buy their love ones with a gift for valentines simple it might be. However, the flowers seemed to be so expensive yesterday but it did not discourage those who wanted to give their partners or spouses something for valentines. And mind you, all the restaurants at SM were full like it was a holiday of sorts.

Yeah I've seen one guy today with flowers. No, actually I saw like 10 of them on the street. Personally I think at least some of them does this just to not get scolded by their girlfriends or wifes. And they chose flowers as it's the easiest way to get it over with. And most of that flowers were red roses so they lack of creativity is a little too obvious for me. But whatever. Probably it's not like their other halves have something extra suprising for them in return. I must sound like a real Valentine's hater now...

It may be a common thing for people who are in a relationship to celebrate valentine's day but still sweet to know that they make efforts to make their partner happy,,,,,,

I think most times during valentine day the cost of the flowers are very high and most boys and men do buy flowers during that time. I think it is a sign of love to buy flowers.
