What does COMELEC checkpoints for? This is what I always ask my husband whenever we have to stop at those checkpoints every time we are on the road riding our motorcycle. I thought that those checkpoints are there to ensure effective implementation of the firearms ban during the election period. But I noticed that the policemen would only check on motorcycles when in fact, I strongly think that cars and other closed vehicles are more capable of bringing or hiding firearms. Any idea why they only check on motorcyles and not on other vehicles? Thank you.
