it is not the brand that matters

They say you may know a person's personality by the way he dresses but not totality, just part of his personality. Most of us are brand-conscious particularly the teens today. Because they will not be with their peer group if they do not have branded ones. They say, men prefer branded than those without brands, even if they will spend thousands of money as long as it is with brand. For me, brand doesn't matter. Simply because people will not know what you are wearing. It matters with the quality and with your character. Honestly, I am not after with the brand but with the quality. Some of the branded items will not last longer. Also, if you do not have the character, brand is worthless. So what if you wear all the brands in the world but people do not truly care about you. Clothes are temporary but your character is permanent. So be humble always.

You're right, branded stuff doesn't always mean it is the best. And just because someone wears non-branded outfit doesn't make him or her less of a person. It is sad that our world, especially the young ones, have become shallow on how they view everything else. It is so superficial. I am not a branded person. Of course I wouldn't be a hypocrite, I admit that I am in awe and in want of those branded and signature stuff but not to the point that I let it take over on how I really am. I have outfits and stuff that are both branded and non-branded. I buy what I can afford, I live within our means. If my friends can't accept that of me, then they're not my real friends, right?

So true! True friendship is not measured by the status in life but on how you truly care and understand each other :)

I agree. I think the brand name doesn't matter in choosing quality dresses. I recently bought a very expensive skirt. It's a known brand. But it's still a month since I used the skirt and it already fades.

We only pay the BRAND itself but not the quality. That is why I am not fond of buying those branded ones. What I do is I buy a cloth and I am the one who make my clothes. :) At least less expenses.

a pleasant day to you iamsittie, what you have posted is absolutely right. character is really important and i guess, it is not proper to compare it with those branded clothes. hence, branded clothes is nothing if the person wearing that clothes possess a bad character. thus, an ordinary clothes becomes elegant if he or she has a good character.

I think that the best fashion statement is confidence.I seldom buy branded clothes unless it's on sale.I always look for the quality of the clothing as compared to the brand name. What really matters is the right fit, cleanliness, and the personality of the wearer.:

I do believe also that the brand does not matter. What is important for me is that I look good with the particular cloth I wear while staying comfortable with it. I am definitely happy with my style and preferences in life. Good heart is indeed on front line of our styles. :)

I am a 31 mother of 3. I can't remember the last time I bought brand name clothing. There are more important things in life than brand name clothing. If I have extra money to spend on myself I would rather be able to get something affordable and then have enough left over for a book or something. I'm not picky. But I think that is what is wrong with the world today everyone seems to have to try to out do the other. Very sad when you think of it. There are people starving and homeless and most people can only think about buying $100+ pair of jeans.

Your right, the clothes you wear does not matter. Who you are on the inside is what is important. And you can never tell how a person is just by the clothes they wear...

I am a bit of a fashion freak/victim, and I'd like to own some designer stuff, because they seem beautiful, but I do agree in that style doesn't come from branded stuff. Someone who has great style would dress up fabulously from thrift stores, too. I buy most of my stuff there... at least not everyone on the streets are gonna have the same stuff as me.

I agree with you. Quality is more important than the brand name. There are not branded products there that is cheaper in the price but is best in quality. I won't waste my money to the branded products that have a low quality.

I do have branded clothes and I aslo do have fake or immitations only. Most of my clothes are branded but not that pricey. I prefer the branded ones because I can use it for a long time. Instead of using clothes without brannd I can used them several times only.

Brand really doesn't matter, what matter most is the quality of the clothing you've buy. There are lot of branded clothing that won't last longer than those non-branded. And the life of your clothing really depends on the person wearing that clothes and how he/she take care of that clothes. As long as you look presentable and you are comfortable with what you wear, that would be great.

hikeamsittie I have no notions of what my psersonality shows but when I shop I shop for value at the best price and if I have used a certain brand and found it to be a really good value I will b y it but I go by what I have known will be good quality and value not for brands as I am not trying to keep up with the Joneses or anyone else.
