Neighbors next to us are moving...yay!

We have these neighbors right beside us that have been disruptive and annoying. We called the fire company on them once because they kept creating bonfires in their yard and the smoke comes over into our house. The fires were so large that the flames went really high. My SIL asked them nicely to not make fires when the wind is blowing the smoke over to our house. The guy just ignored him. The next time the guy did a bonfire my SIL called the fire company. They put the fire out. Then the guy would rev up his motorcycle all times of the night when we are trying to sleep. SIL had to get up and go to work in a couple of hours and he hollered at them. That revibg of the motorcycle bothered some other folks and they called the law on them. I guess they thought we did it. That man hollered at my SIL today while he was walking the dog. They were loading up their stuff on a trailer and hollered 'you G D Walmart people! You won't have to call the law on us anymore! We're leaving!' Walmart people?? Sorry, but we don't shop at Walmart. If that was done sort of back handed way to call us rednecks or something, I don't know. I'm glad they are gone though. Have you ever had neighbors that lack the social graces to be good neighbors? Please share your experience.

It's so satisfying when dodgy neighbours leave isn't it? You will now get some peace but I hope the next lot that move in will be..er..less anti-social. We've had our fair share of dodgy neighbours but I can safely say that the people on each side of us (we live in a terraced block) have been brilliant so far, and they've all been living there about a year or so. When we had noisy neighbours I hated it as the walls aren't the thickest and if they spilled into the back yard, that's practically on top of me (save the high wall inbetween) as well. So, I can well identify with how you're feeling right now. Elated right? The Walmart comment was out of order wasn't it? Over here it would be replaced with Primark but there again, we haven't got one of those in Carlisle, so perhaps it would be TESCO instead. We refer to people shopping there as 'Chavs' lol.

Yeah that Walmart comment has stuck with me all day. They are gone now I think. My daughter was doing the happy dance.

Fortunately, our neighbors now are good. The only thing is that the neighbor has to go to work early so he wakes us up sometimes. We have lived by some really mean neighbors and have called the cops out. We kept our house in one town and rented it out so had to go back and fix it up and rerent. The lady actually stuck her nose up in the air and walked by me like I wasn't there. I wanted to ask her if her feet stunked but I refrained. I sold the place to someone who wanted to house her daughter who was going to school. The house was big enough for 4 more students and I am sure those rooms were rented out. I looked at a aerial view of the place on the internet and it looked like several cars were their. If the neighbors had been nice I would have requested that they find a nice family to live there.

You really had a bad experience with those not so nice neighbors. We have been lucky with most of our neighbors. It is just those bad neighbors that caused problems

boy did I ever this woman named rachel complained about everything, she didn't like that we walked on the floor, we were directly above her. I asked the landlord did she think I could fly. she didn't like loud music and complained on us when it was the people in the next building. Before we even moved in she complained about a couple who had a little baby. the baby cried she didn't like it.

You should have said I'm glad you white trash people are moving. I currently have neighbors that I would be happy when they move out. They were ok when they first moved in, and then the mom went down hill. She ordered something from my daughter and had the nerve to ask when it was coming in after I told her when it would. She snapped at a lady because she thought the dog was doing something in her yard. The dog was just sitting because he was just a puppy. Then she went out and traded her car in for a stupid giant hummer. Nothing wrong with that, except it looks tacky in our neighborhood. Then the stupid thing messed up and it started to sound like a diesel truck with a hole drilled into the exhaust pipe. There driveway happens to be next to my bedroom and my husband sleeps during the day. When it was cold, her husband would come out and let the stupid thing idle. Just so she could back it out, and move her daughter's car. The longest time she did it was for 45 minutes. I have called the police to see what I can do. It was useless, they would have to come out and witness the car being idle. By then, the witch would be gone and leaving me looking like a liar. They know it irritated my family. Heck, the whole neighborhood can't stand them. I have noticed boxes in the garage, like your neighbors. I'm praying they will move out very soon.

Oh they can afford it, and funny part. Nobody in the neighborhood could give a rats a&s about it. There will be a party when they move out, and I can only pray it's soon. I have actually went outside and told her husband thank you for finally turning the pos off because it woke me up. I know she has heard me call her the b word because I get woken up. I'm enjoying this summer because when they are outside washing their car, I'm outside mowing my lawn with the clippings flying towards their yard. Just a side note, I own 3 dogs and a lazy 16 yr old that half picks up after them, .

Don't you just love neighbors like that? LOL! I hate inconsiderate neighbors. Don't have a pot to pee in but they got a hummer huh? Lol! It's terrible when they won't let you sleep.

Wow sounds like a doozy of a neighbor! I have been pretty fortunate in my neighbors. No major problems like you seemed to have had. I live in a rural area and I only have one neighbor that I can see his home and he is retired from the military and keeps to himself. I am so thankful for that! I am glad your bad neighbors are gone. I hope they are replaced with good ones!

Sounds as if they need a huge area to ride in that belongs to them. Even though we live in a rural area I would not appreciate anyone coming on our property with their ATV's. I hope that they find a happy solution for themselves without bothering someone else.

I think they would be happier in a rural setting also because they have go carts and motorcycles and 4-wheelers and stuff. The go carts and 4-wheelers are not legal to ride on the street and people have been calling the law on them. We only called the law when they were setting bonfires.

Oh yes...I live in low income housing and so have had more than my share of bad neighbors. I try to keep to myself for the most part. The fires would definitly bother me. They are supposed to get permits for bonfires and the ones you describe don't sound safe at all. These people sound like inconsiderate morons. Walmart people??? Is that supposed to be an insult?? That's all they could come up with so I guess you can't be all so bad. For your sake and peace of mind, I am glad they are moving.

They were terribly inconsiderate. The fires did bother me a lot since I have asthma. The noise bothered us to handcuffing also.

I am thankful that I do not have difficult or problematic neighbors even after marrying my husband. Staying with my in-laws, the neighbors are very understanding helpful to the extent that we can rely on one another to look after the house when either one is out. We can even use the others' refrigerator when ours broke down and not worry that our groceries being mistakenly used by them. So, I can understand the reluctance to move from elderly folks. Unfortunately, I cannot speak for your nasty neighbors here when a good relationship is better than being sour. I feel that they are being unreasonable for starting polluting illegal bonfires especially in this century and discriminating for name calling you good people. I say the lesser of them would make this a better world to live in.

It's good that you will soon be free of your obnoxious neighbors. I'm assuming that they were renting the property next to you, and their landlord has evicted them. Hopefully, whomever moves in next will be a better neighbor.

Yes they were renting. They ruined their back yard. When the realty that rents it out sees what they did to the back yard. When they were setting those bonfires they were cutting down trees in the back yard. I bet the company owner will be upset. The lady that owns that beautiful home is old and in a nursing home.

At last they're gone :) I also have an annoying neighbor who keep blowing his car horn during wee hours when he's drunk. The last time he did, his uncle punch him on the face and thanks, until now he's out of sight. Maybe he's too shy to show his face in the neighborhood -lols.

Wait a minute-what's wrong with people that shop at walmart?!? Lol, I do shop there! Anyway, I did have an awful neighbor that is now arrested-thank God! He was harassing us, threatening to kill us, showed our son his private parts and tried to steal from us. It was a horrible experience but we are so glad he is locked up now. He would bang on our door at all times of the day and night! It was frustrating. Now, he is in prison, locked up for murder!! Thank God he finally will be doing some time in there... Other than him we have been pretty lucky with neighbors. He was the worst one we have EVER had. Now that he is gone the rest of the neighbors are okay. =) I am glad the ones near you are moving, less issues to deal with now. I am happy for y'all!

We don't food shop there anymore. We shop at Ingles. But we do shop for non-food items. I hope to go to Walmart tomorrow to get me two pillows. I can't sleep well on my pillows. They are old and flat. You all went through though the ringer with that lunatic.

Lucky you that these idiots are moving. We have it much worse, as our neighbours on the floor are anti social too. The man is a truck driver and so he is away over the week and returns on Fridays or Saturdays. The woman stays at home but wont do much obviously as you only hear her boss the oldest around and in general scream at the kids in highest voice. Problem is they own the apartment so we can wait till they move till we are blue in the face....... sigh........

I am glad for you that your nasty neighbour have gone ! When we first moved to this residential area, we had a back neighour on our left which was very nuisance. He would blast his music and songs extremely loud early Saturday and Sunday mornings and this will go on till about 11 AM . Usually many people would yearn for a good rest during weekends but was affected by this inconsiderate neighbor. That had been on going for some time until one fine day he moved out from this rented house. What a relief and now we had another owner in this house and they are very quiet. I hardly hear any noise from the house...

Hi Sally, Oh yeah we've had some really colorful neighbors in our time. Now we have a next door neighbor who doesn't like cats but says he wouldn't hurt any of them though. We've been here for 7 years now and so far, he's kept his word. Plus we've tried to clean up his yard a little bit by picking up the debri and you'd think we'd cut the trees down by the way he acted! Wow! Then I tried to smooth things over by talking to his wife and she went off on me too! Gee, doing something nice for someone doesn't always get you the best of responses, eh? Now we just barely speak and don't if we don't have to. I wish all the time that they'd sell their house and move away but they're still here. *SIGH

Hi Cats! It's so good to see your avatar. I remember you talking about that at least 2 years ago or so. I haven't really made any friends here. Everyone stays to themselves so we do to. We don't live where you remember. We live in a really nice ranch house. But we can't have cats still and can't have any animals in the house. It breaks my heart but nothing I can do about that. I saw pics if Sassy that you sent Kimmie. She is so beautiful still.

I'm so sorry that you have had to deal with neighbors like that. It is terrible that so many people live with horrible neighbors. I thankfully have lived in many different places and have never had any problem with the neighbors. In fact, where we live now everyone is very nice and we share the food we grow with each other. Everyone is considerate towards each other. If I had only one complaint it would be that a few people on this block like to talk loud when speaking to the neighbors. Otherwise it is a nice neighborhood with good people. Thank God!

It's great that you have nice neighbors. These neighbors have only been here about 4 months I think. They have kept the neighborhood awake at night too.
