Goku can beat superman.Superman's power is less than tien's,yet I see all of thOse youtube videos claiming Supes would whoop Goku's butt.Goku has not defeated Gaud,like the supaman,but has defeated Villains who even the God fears.(Kid Buu killed how many kais?
I like Goku mainly because he is funny.But he is serious when it matters.
Superman is always arrogant,over confident of his powers,kinda like Vegeta.
Goku knows that he is the only hope.
Supes the best for our American friends and people who haven't seen Dragon ball Z,but for the rest of the world,Goku is GOD.

Personally, I really find it funny to compare characters from different anime or movies for in their respective movies, they truly have different power and strengths. I always see pictures in facebook comparing naruto chars vs. one piece chars and would sometimes include bleach chars. But between the two, I would still go for GOKU.

If you will do research about Superman, You will be shocked how strong he is in the comic books. that state of being powerful makes him boring as a character though. Goku is much cooler but sadly he have no match with Superman.
Hulk can actually be defeated, His wife can calm him down, His cousin She-hulk can calm him down. sweet talking him, can bring him back to normal. Hulk had been defeated by Wolverine(his powers are healing powers,not his claws) and Wolverine had been defeated by Molly Hayes..... who is Molly Hayes? A 12 year old daughter of Supervillains who can kill an army with a sing punch.

stats wise,Superman will win. Goku's stats is 150 Million. Superman's is about Octillion. Superman had defeated Gods and Galaxy destroyers. Goku will win if he will use Kryptonite but we know his morals.

That's good to know. ^_^ At least superman has a weakness. he may be strong but he is not perfect, which is good. And he's bad at disguising himself too.

Actually in the latest incarnation of Superman, he can beat Goku, Goku's weakness is he wanted to beat his opponent on their best. he is not practical and he wanted a challenge, so he will not resort to Kryptonight.

Superman doesnt need air and pressure to live, so he can stay in space, Goku have a limit. Superman doesnt need to eat to live, Goku eats to survive.

The only Character who can beat Goku would be Phoenix from Marvel.she eats stars and suns for breakfast. Goku and Superman just rely on solar power.

Goku will beat Superman and all his super league members with just one shot.Goku is the most powerful cartoon character in the world.I am a big fan of Goku and I have seen all parts of dragon ball..

There had been mathematical equations of Power calculations and Goku have no match unless he will use Kryptonite but Goku dont cheat which will cause his demise. Just because Dragonball have the best fight scenes it doesnt mean its characters are the strongest. You forgot about characters who are Gods.
Goku needs to be in a Planet to Survive. Superman can actually live and even stay on space, he doesnt need air,water and food to survive. Goku gets thirsty and hungry.
Also Goku is not a cartoon character, he is an anime character
If Goku will fight X-men's Phoenix he will be pulverized. Goku can destroy planets, Phoenix eats Stars and few seconds, destroying a star will destroy a whole solar system.

actually no, It has been proven base on cannonical stats of both characters that Goku cant but superman, Goku can destroy a planet but superman can destroy a galaxy. I am a Goku fan but I am not biased.This may sound silly but Goku cant actually beat the final form of Sailormoon. On her final form she can destroy and create a Universe. she can kill and resurrect anyone she wanted. Goku's final defeated enemy is a planet destroyer,The last character Sailormoon defeated is a galaxy and multiverse destroyer.
Dragonball just happen to have better fight scenes but its doesnt mean it has the strongest characters.
Goku wont be able to defeat Dark Schneider, he defeated a character who can destroy Multiple Dimensions and galaxies.
The strongest Anime characters are from Saint Seya, all of those characters are Gods who can destroy galaxies.
